Abstract: Methods for treating a cancer patient with a neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) greater than 3 are disclosed, comprising administering a nonsteroidal glucocorticoid receptor antagonist (GRA) to such a cancer patient, effective to reduce the patient's NLR. The methods include administering a nonsteroidal GRA and a cancer treatment to such a cancer patient, effective to reduce the patient's NLR and enhance the treatment of the cancer patient. The GRA may be orally administered. The nonsteroidal GRA may be a nonsteroidal compound comprising a heteroaryl ketone fused azadecalin structure (e.g., relacorilant) or an octahydro fused azadecalin structure (e.g., exicorilant). The cancer treatment may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, administration of an anti-angiogenic agent, administration of a growth factor inhibitor, and surgery.

Abstract: The AUTOMATIC REMOTE DEPOSIT IMAGE PREPARATION APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (hereinafter “MultiCrop”) transforms uploaded check images and check deposit information inputs via MultiCrop components image into deposit confirmation outputs. For example, in one embodiment, a user may employ a personal computer connected to a web camera, and/or a smartphone with a built-in camera to initiate the remote deposit by holding a check in front of the camera, and the MultiCrop may capture images of the check and send them to a financial institution for deposit processing.

Abstract: A drainage/retention aid comprising a combination of a) microparticles; and b) a vinylamine copolymer having the general structure: wherein m is from 1-99 mol %, n is from 0 to 50 mol % and o is from 1 to 99 mol %; A is selected from the group consisting of one or more repeating units having the following general structures: and salts thereof wherein p, q and r are mol percentages from 1 to 99, each R1 is independently H or CH3, and X is —CN, —COOR2, —CONR3R4, —OR5, —OCOR6, and mixtures thereof; wherein R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 are independently selected from H or C1 to C4 alkyl; and wherein the vinylamine copolymer has a charge density in a range of from 2 to 24 mEq/g.

Abstract: A method of flocculating coagulated and/or finely divided suspended matter in aqueous systems comprising adding to the system from 0.005 to 1 weight percent based on the dry weight of the coagulated and/or finely suspended matter of at least one water soluble cationic polymer selected from a water soluble cationic copolymer (I) composed of the polymerization reaction of an N-vinylamide with at least one cationic quaternary amine monomer.

Abstract: A water-soluble cationic copolymer comprising a reaction product of N-vinylamide having the general formula: ##STR1## and a cationic quaternary amine having the formula: ##STR2## wherein Y is C(.dbd.O)O(CH.sub.2).sub.n N.sup..sym.
