In particular, the containers of the present invention comprise retail display containers that may be positioned in a standing orientation on a heel stand and rim creating a consumer favorable display angle of the containment area, and wherein the heel stand construct is not visible from consumer viewing angles providing a premium appearance.

Abstract: A container with a butterfly lid closure has a base portion and two overlapping hinged lid portions for providing a secure vented closure. The container has a base with a top peripheral edge at an open top end. Two hinged butterfly lid portions are secured to the upper peripheral edge at sides of the base. The lid portions are secured to the base in a closed position by locking recesses on the lid portions that engage locking formations on the upper peripheral edge. A groove on one lid portion engages a groove on another lid portion to form a seal where the lid portions overlap. Venting channels formed on the locking formations allow air to pass in and out of the container, but prevent liquids from entering the container. Arched ridges on the container's sidewalls increase the container's rigidity and resistance to top loading.

The hinge of the container of the present invention is particularly unique in that it not only provides a hinged connection between the lid and the base of the container for ease of use by the contents manufacturer during filling but is also breakable in different ways to provide a tamper-evident function without creating small parts that must be disposed of separately from the lid.

Abstract: Disclosed is a process for manufacturing underground caverns suitable in one embodiment for storage of large volumes of gaseous or liquid materials. The method is an acid dissolution process that can be utilized to form caverns in carbonate rock formations. The caverns can be used to store large quantities of materials near transportation facilities or destination markets. The caverns can be used for storage of materials including fossil fuels, such as natural gas, refined products formed from fossil fuels, or waste materials, such as hazardous waste materials. The caverns can also be utilized for applications involving human access such as recreation or research. The method can also be utilized to form calcium chloride as a by-product of the cavern formation process.
