  • Patent number: 4093483
Abstract: Novel pleat assemblies are formed in the heading of a drapery by simultaneously forming folds of controlled size in said heading and cohesively bonding said folds to a backing strip extending the length of the pleat assembly. The drapery is disposed face up during the process. The pleat-making apparatus comprises a shaping electrode, a support electrode, and fold-forming means, said shaping electrode being adapted to be urged downwardly into straddling disposition about said fold-forming means and into contact with said support surface electrode.

  • Patent number: 4091857
Abstract: A system is provided whereby a flexible curtain is hunt from a horizontal span of an overhead suspended cable, and can be drawn off said cable onto a rigid track for storage. The track is positioned contiguous to an end of said span and above said cable. Transfer of the curtain from the cable to the track is facilitated by use of an inclined member which smoothly engages both said cable and said track, causing said transfer to occur within said horizontal span. Traversal of the curtain with respect to the cable is achieved by means of carriers equipped with wheels which ride atop said cable.
