  • Publication number: 20150149207
Abstract: Certain examples provide systems, method, and computer-readable media to facilitate a health information prescription and associated interaction. An example method includes generating, at a health provider system, a prescription for a patient including an information component, the information component instructing monitoring of patient data at a frequency using at least one of a device and an application. The example method includes transmitting the prescription from the health provider system to a patient health record. The example method includes configuring the at least one of a device and an application for the patient according to the information component of the prescription and the patient health record. The example method includes facilitating, at the patient health record, collection of the patient data via the at least one of a device and an application. The example method includes transmitting collected patient data from the patient health record to the health provider system.

  • Patent number: 6351761
Abstract: An information stream management network server is disclosed that enables distributing articles to a destination in the network at times and in forms that are specified by a user, while also enabling accessing and receiving the articles from sources in the network at times and in forms that are independent of the user. The network server handles both information pull articles and information push articles. The information push articles use declarative addressing to specified groups of users, thereby masking recipient endpoint identities and delivery preferences from sources and enabling broadcast communication to members of such a group.

  • Patent number: 5828792
Abstract: A method of enhancing predefined features of a scanned image of a document page of reduced size for display includes subsampling the pixels of the scanned image to achieve a desired degree of reduction of the image size. The subsampled signals are passed through a filter to obtain gray scale values. A sharpening filter is applied to the subsampled pixels to enhance the predefined features of the image.

  • Patent number: 5781658
Abstract: A method of multithresholding a document image considers both local and global information in determining the number of thresholded levels contained in a gray-scale image. A gray-scale image is comprised of a plurality of pixels. Each pixel has an intensity value. Local regions of pixels having similar intensity values are identified and compiled into a global representation of the image. Intensity ranges are identified in the global representation in which the number of regions of pixels are approximately constant. An intensity value is identified within each range which represents the most constant point within the representation range. The number of threshold levels is set equal to the number of ranges in the representation.
