  • Publication number: 20020162972
Abstract: An enclosure is provided which enables sterilization of all or part of a single or multiple stethoscopes or other items commonly re-used in the care of medical patients, such as a blood pressure cuff, EKG leads, or pulse oximeter probe. The enclosure is designed to easily suspend the stethoscope or other items in a manner which allows complete exposure of all areas to ultraviolet light. The enclosure is further designed to prevent excape of the ultraviolet light into the external environment when the device is active. A manual or predetermined timing device insures that sufficient time of exposure to kill all potential contaminating agents by means of intense ultraviolet light radiation will occur.

  • Patent number: 5368195
Abstract: A fluid dispenser system is provided for accurate delivery of a viscous or semi-viscous fluid. The dispenser system includes a pressure station for receiving a bottle filled with the selected fluid substance, and for pressurizing the bottle for fluid flow therefrom. In the preferred form, the fluid passes through a metering unit to a dispenser gun having a manually operated trigger. The metering unit responds to trigger operation to deliver a metered volume of the fluid to the dispenser gun for dispensing via a spout. The system is designed for quickly and easily dispensing a rapid succession of accurately metered volumes. The dispenser system is particularly suited for use in dispensing condiments in a fast food restaurant environment, or for dispensing metered volumes of paints and/or pigments used in mixing paints, or for handling other flowable materials such as adhesives and the like.

  • Patent number: 4921135
Abstract: A countertop pressurized beverage system includes an outer housing, and an inner flexible Mylar bag containing a potable liquid, such as beer or a carbonated beverage, requiring pressurization. A closed plastic container capable of withstanding substantial pressure encloses the flexible bag, and is mounted with the housing. A compressor supplies air to the closed plastic container at a pre-set level, in order to maintain carbonation in the potable liquid. A thermoelectric cooling unit is mounted on the bottom of the countertop unit to provide cooling, to a plate which is mounted in thermally conductive proximity below the closed plastic housing at the bottom thereof where the flexible bag rests against the bottom of the plastic container. A cap makes threaded engagement with mating threads on a wide mouth opening on the closed plastic container; and the cap has an inwardly extending central tube around which the mouth of the flexible bag is secured.

  • Patent number: 4913713
Abstract: A countertop cooler for standard size water bottles where the plastic bottle has a spigot at the lower front end of said bottle which allows withdrawal of water, said water bottle enclodes in a refrigeration case for cooling; said refrigeration case having a removable top in which said bottle and removable top section of said cooler is held in place by a means for securing said removable section in place to close the refrigeration case. Within the refrigeration case is a metal conductive cooling surface member extending from the rear of said case extending along at least a substantial portion of the bottom and sides of said refrigeration case, cooling said water bottle by conduction, with a cooling means preferably thermoelectric incorporated within said cooler; and in engagement with the metal cooling surface member. The cooler preferably has foldable or extendable legs for selectively permitting the mounting of the cooler under kitchen cabinets, or raised for easier filling of tall receptacles.
