  • Patent number: 10000428
Abstract: Field harvested culture mix is used to inoculate organic waste and produce an inoculated waste material, where the field harvested culture mix includes soil derived microbes. The inoculated waste material is shredded to produce shredded inoculated waste material which is fermented the shredded inoculated waste material for at least 7 days. Contents from the fermenter are then transferred into a dewatering device to produce dewatered contents which are then separated into soluble and suspended products.

  • Publication number: 20080124738
Abstract: The present disclosure concerns methods, compositions and apparatus for detecting pathogens and/or molecular markers. In a particular embodiment, the pathogen to be detected may be Mycobacterium bovis or any other Mycobacterium species that causes tuberculosis in a mammal. However, the disclosed methods are not limited and virtually any type of pathogen and/or molecular marker may be screened and detected. Preferred embodiments comprise reflex supplemental testing using the same assay at approximately 100% sensitivity and the highest possible corresponding sensitivity—in one example 70%. Such assay conditions, used iteratively, result in elimination of 70% of uninfected subjects for each round of testing. Use of 4 or more rounds of testing results in less than 1% error. Since only positive samples are retested, the methods provide a rapid, inexpensive and highly accurate way to detect infected subjects.

  • Patent number: 6861251
Abstract: The present invention concerns methods and compositions relating to matrix arrays. In certain embodiments, the arrays are translucent. In other embodiments, the arrays are reconfigurable. In preferred embodiments, the arrays are translucent and reconfigurable. Reconfigurable arrays may be produced using small linker molecules, such as aptamers or affibodies, attached to the array substrate. Preferably, the small linker molecules bind to an IgG specific portion of antibodies. Such arrays may be used to detect any target that binds selectively or specifically to an IgG, allowing great flexibility of use. Translucent matrix arrays may utilize a translucent, colloidal form of nitrocellulose to coat the array substrate.
