  • Publication number: 20240143024
Abstract: An example method is performed at a device with a display and a biometric sensor. While the device is in a locked state, the method includes displaying a log-in user interface that is associated with logging in to a first and second user account. While displaying the log-in user interface, the method includes, receiving biometric information, and in response to receiving the biometric information: when the biometric information is consistent with biometric information for the first user account and the first user account does not have an active session, displaying a prompt to input a log-in credential for the first user account; and when the biometric information is consistent with biometric information for the second user account and the second user account does not have an active session on the device, displaying a prompt to input a log-in credential for the second user account.

  • Patent number: 11943191
Abstract: Techniques for live location sharing are described. A first mobile device and a second mobile device can communicate with one another using an IM program. The first mobile device can receive a user input to share a location of the first mobile device in the IM program. Sharing the location can include causing the second mobile device to display a location of the first mobile device in an IM program user interface on the second mobile device. Duration of sharing the location can be user-configurable. The second mobile device may or may not share a location of the second device for display in the IM program executing on the first mobile device.

  • Patent number: 11916861
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method for providing interactive notification elements. A device receives a first message. The device displays a first notification element in a first area of a user interface. The first notification element comprises information about the received first message. While displaying the first notification element, the device displays a first user interface (UI) element for initiating a reply to the first message. The first UI element includes a text entry field and an audio entry button for initiating recording of audio; and responsive to receiving a selection of the first UI element. In accordance with a determination that the selection includes selection of the audio entry button, the device initiates recording of audio and replacing the text entry field with a representation of the audio being recorded.

  • Patent number: 5703502
Abstract: A phase detection circuit detects a phase relationship between a first clock signal, characterized by transitions of a given polarity (e.g., rising edges) at a first frequency, and a second clock signal, characterized by transitions of the given polarity at a second frequency that is an integer multiple of the first frequency. Transition indication circuitry generates a transition indication signal responsive to transitions, of the given polarity, of the second clock signal. The transition indication signal includes a transition indication (e.g., a pulse) corresponding to each n.sup.th transition, of the given polarity, of the second clock signal and at a phase that is selectable relative to the first clock signal in response to a transition indication control signal. Sampling circuitry (e.g., one or more latches) samples the transition indication signal responsive to each transition, of the given polarity, of the first clock signal to generate a transition indication sample.
