  • Patent number: 7531197
Abstract: Illuminated tongs include a pair of arm members joined together at a hinged end for relative moment to grasp an object such as a translucent confectionary item. A battery compartment is connected to at least one of the arm members, and a spring is mounted in the battery compartment to bias the tongs to an open position. A light source is hidden within one of the arm members adjacent the grasping end. A switch member, associated with the battery compartment, is automatically closed when the grasping end is moved to grasp a confectionary member whereby light will glow from the interior of the confectionary member.

  • Publication number: 20090061054
Abstract: A handheld sound generating container assembly for storing candy includes a hollow container housing having an opening and a handle stopper assembly, configured to be removably sealed within the container housing opening. A candy member is mounted on the handle stopper assembly to occupy a substantial volume of the interior of the hollow container housing. A user, by rapidly removing the handle stopper assembly can create an air implosion sound. Consumption of the candy member and reinsertion of the handle stopper assembly will enable the creation of a larger air implosion sound when again rapidly removed from the hollow container housing.

  • Patent number: 5391105
Abstract: The picture toy includes a housing, a first opaque plate including a first array of apertures, a second opaque plate including a second array of apertures, and a plurality of light pipes. The picture toy is assembled such that each aperture of the first array is axially aligned with a corresponding aperture of the second array. Each light pipe includes a rear section and a front section which are respectively fitted into one of the apertures of the first array and its corresponding aperture of the second array. The rear section of each light pipe further includes an opaque end surface which substantially prevents light from entering the picture toy through the rear section when the light pipe is slid into a raised position. Illuminated indicia are created by selectively depressing the light pipes so that light may enter the rear section of the light pipe and propagate therethrough.

  • Patent number: 5342048
Abstract: A combination decorative kinetic poster and vertical vehicle toy racing game includes a substrate having colorful indicia for providing a decorative design. The substrate is designed to be vertically hung on a wall and is capable of supporting complementary kinetic decorative mobiles that extend from the substrate. A track member extends across the substrate to form a continuous path. Toy vehicles can be mounted for translating across the track member and operative interacting with the kinetic mobiles to cause a kinetic movement. The operator can be provided with hand controls for driving the toy vehicles to race across the track set.

  • Patent number: 4668060
Abstract: An improved audio-visual toy is provided by a housing assembly configured to simulate a portable television set. A magnetic deck assembly reads the signals on a magnetic tape element to produce an audio transmission that describes a story. Concurrently, the signals tell the user when to activate a pneumatic system that houses a clutch and ratchet system to advance a film element for producing a sequence of projected images that also describe the story.

  • Patent number: 4443967
Abstract: A toy vehicle is provided that can be manually activated to store kinetic energy. The rear wheels of the vehicle can be positioned so that upon tilting and movement of the vehicle, a gear assembly provides a high gear ratio to rotate a flywheel held off of the support surface. Subsequently, upon release of the toy vehicle, the contact of the flywheel with a support surface drives the car with the rear wheels held off of the support surface.

  • Patent number: 4359222
Abstract: A hand-held electronic program playing device having a flat panel electro-optical display unit incorporated in a housing, is disclosed. Circuitry suitable for driving the display unit and manually operable controls for providing a plurality of control functions are incorporated in the housing. A replaceable cartridge unit which fits into and mates with the housing incorporates a microprocessor and supplementary circuitry. The cartridge unit can include a transparent overlay which incorporates one or more graphic patterns. When the cartridge is placed into the housing the overlay is disposed relative to the display unit so that the visual image of the display unit is viewed through the overlay. The microprocessor and overlay in the replaceably cartridge define the program such as a game that can be played by the housing and cartridge combination.
