  • Publication number: 20240118783
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to techniques for accessing modes of operation and techniques for providing an alarm interface for electronic devices. In some embodiments, a device detects that a battery is being charged and that the device is oriented in a predefined orientation. In accordance with the detection that the battery is being charged and that the device is oriented in the predefined orientation, the device activates a predefined mode of operation. In some embodiments, a device displays a first user interface object in a first color, and, at a predetermined time, the device displays the first user interface object in a second color and displays an option for dismissing an alarm, wherein the option for dismissing is displayed as a second user interface object located at a portion of a display of the device proximate to a hardware button of the device.

  • Patent number: 8240690
Abstract: An energy transduction and conservation system has a rotatable primary driving arrangement and a rotatable driven arrangement, the driving and driven arrangements cooperating through an energy storage arrangement. The driving arrangement supplies energy to the energy storage arrangement through a one-way driving system which blocks energy release from the energy storage arrangement back to the driving arrangement. Relative rotation of the driving arrangement is transferred to the energy storage arrangement through a first releasable clutch acting on a one-way rotatable hub whereby energy stored is released only through the driven arrangement. A further one-way clutch is actuated by a differential angular rotational speed to disconnect the first releasable clutch and drive the hub at the same time the energy storage arrangement drives the driven arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20070250391
Abstract: The present invention is a merchandising system and method for the organized display, selection and purchase of products, particularly, food and non-food items for a meal kit, which can be customized to the taste and size preferences of the consumer. The system comprises a display apparatus, a plurality of food items, a food item identification and selection guide and a take-away bag. The display apparatus, food items, and food item identification and selection guide utilize indicia (for example, colors) to assist the consumer in the identification and selection of food items to create a customized meal having a protein, seasoning or sauce, starch and vegetable.

  • Publication number: 20070237865
Abstract: The present invention is directed to the high pressure processing of food products after packaging in order to extend the shelf life and eliminate bacteria and microorganisms. Fresh food products that can be processed according to the present invention include, for example, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, seafood, vegetables, sauces and starches. The method for processing food products involves vacuum sealing a food product within plastic film to form a vacuum sealed package. The vacuum sealed package is then placed in a pressurizing apparatus and the pressurizing apparatus is then loaded with water. The water is then pressurized inside the pressurizing apparatus to exert hydrostatic pressure on the vacuum sealed package.

  • Patent number: 6210109
Abstract: A portable fluid blower having a housing defining an intake region for incoming fluid, an output region, and a fluid path for controllably communicating fluid entering the intake region to the output region at which fluid is discharged from the housing. An impeller on the housing is rotatable around a first axis and draws fluid into the fluid path through the intake region and accelerates fluid drawn into the fluid path so that the fluid drawn into the fluid path through the intake region is accelerated in the fluid path and discharged in an accelerated state at the output region. A drive rotates the impeller around the first axis. The fluid path has a first curved fluid path portion that extends at least partially around the first axis, and a second transition path portion through which fluid communicates from the input region towards the first curved fluid path portion.
