  • Publication number: 20080298972
Abstract: A rotor disk (10) for a fan in a turbomachine, comprising in its perimeter a plurality of essentially axial grooves (22) for the installation and retention of vane roots (20) having hooks at their downstream ends, deformable regions formed by cavities (34) being situated at the downstream end of the grooves (22) in attachment flanges (36) for inter-vane platforms to absorb the stresses between the disk and the vane roots.

  • Publication number: 20060193721
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improvement in the clearances 12 between a casing and the moving blades 11 of a rotor 1 of a turbomachine, in particular a casing provided for this purpose, and also to a turbomachine fitted with such a casing. The invention applies in particular to aircraft turbojet engines. It relates more particularly to a turbomachine inner casing 21 comprising a plurality of annular shrouds 23 that are provided with flanges 24 for joining two adjacent shrouds 23 together. According to the invention, this inner casing 21 further includes: at least one circumferential heat shield 5 covering the flanges 24 in contact with two adjacent shrouds 23; and a cavity 6 filled with a first thermal insulation 8, said cavity being located between a concave internal surface 51a, 52a of the heat shield 5 and the flanges 24. The heat shield 5 is formed by a plurality of sectors 50 joined end to end.

  • Publication number: 20050233135
Abstract: The present invention relates to dew resistant coatings and articles having the dew resistant coating adhered thereto. The dew resistant coatings comprise elongate silica particles. These coating are useful on articles or surfaces used in outdoor applications and articles and surfaces used in moist indoor environments.

  • Patent number: 5285883
Abstract: Coins corresponding to a payment, thrown into a hopper, fall on a recessed disk and each lodge in one of the recesses. If two coins are superposed in one recess, the upper coin is deflected outwardly by a slot and then raised by the inclined bottom of this slot to finally be ejected from the recess. The coins are then, as a function of the result of a detection, oriented toward one or the other of two compartments of an annular display which surrounds the separation disk. At the end of each payment, the annular display turns a fraction of a turn to bring the two compartments into a presentation position, while two empty compartments are presented to receive the following payment, and the coins corresponding to the preceding payment arrive at a transmission position for example toward collection boxes. The drive of the movable portion of the display is effected by its radially outer edge.

The central portion comprising the separator disk and its drive motor can swing downwardly to eject foreign bodies.

  • Patent number: 5195626
Abstract: Device for checking metal disks and especially coins, characterized in that it comprises a sorting mechanism essentially constituted by a single motor-driven circular plate 4 which makes it possible to carry out simultaneously the functions of separation and identification of coins, this plate being toothed around its periphery and reinforced at the center by a portion 9 of frusto-conical shape onto which the coins fall in a bulk admission zone. This plate rotates above a stationary portion 2 which is almost entirely surrounded by a circular rim 3 on which the coins slide when they are engaged between the teeth of the plate. Provision is made for the identification and authentication of coins, which take into account both the material, the thickness and the diameter of these latter, including a single electromagnetic detector 15 placed above the plate 4. The detector is eccentric to the path of the centers of the coins, so that variation in the diameters of the coins can be detected.

  • Patent number: 4548220
Abstract: A device for sorting and checking metal pieces such as coins, comprising: a first sloping rotary disk for operation as a separation disk, onto which coins are to be thrown in mixed types and random orientations and which is provided at its periphery with pockets, each pocket adapted to receive one and only one coin; a second sloping rotary disk for operation as a detection disk, also provided with pockets at its periphery and rotating in synchronism with the first disk but in reverse direction about a parallel axis, the second disk having an axis placed higher than the first disk, and the second disk occupying a plane slightly below the first disk with the disks partially overlapping, whereby a coin in a pocket of the first disk is transferred to a pocket of the second disk by action of gravity at a culminating point of its travel; and, a coin recognition device comprising a number of electromagnetic sensors disposed along a path of the pockets of the second disk.

  • Patent number: 4234071
Abstract: A device for checking coins or other metal pieces has an electromagnetic detector responsive to the passage of the coins which produces an output voltage which varies as a result of the passing coins. This voltage is measured at predetermined periods and compared with programmed voltage values stored in a memory and which are characteristic of the coins to be checked.
