  • Patent number: 7281963
Abstract: An energy-conserving swim fin, in which a blade extends from a front portion of a foot pocket of a swim fin, and at least one spring is fitted at an appropriate position on the blade. The springs are structured such that support is provided when force is inwardly applied to two ends and extensibility when force is outwardly applied, and behavior of these two different force coefficients are brought about in a two-stroke alternate flapping motion during the course of manipulating the present invention, wherein, when kicking the water to push forward, the support provided by the springs enables the blade to form an angle against the water to achieve a propulsion effect, and during a restoring motion of the swim fin, extensibility provided by the springs enables the blade to form an angle that does not resist the water, thereby achieving effectiveness to conserve energy and rapidly return to original state, and thus assisting the swimmer in conserving physical strength and increasing staying power.

  • Patent number: 6679253
Abstract: An automatic water stopper for snorkel mainly includes from bottom to top a lower case having radially equally spaced upright air tubes, a float and a water-stopping diaphragm having corresponding radiated cross section, an air path disk, and an upper case. The air path disk includes a plurality of alternately arranged valve openings and air paths. The air paths are aligned with and therefore always communicable with the air tubes for air to flow into and out of the snorkel while the valve openings are closed or opened depending on positions of the float in the lower case. When the valve openings are opened, air flows into or out of the snorkel along a path defined by the valve openings, the air paths, and the air tubes. When the float contacts with water and moves upward to close the valve openings, external water is prevented from flowing into the snorkel.

  • Publication number: 20030037783
Abstract: An adjustable snorkel is convertible into a fixed snorkel by attaching a curved clamping device onto a flexible section of the adjustable snorkel and thereby setting the flexible section to selected curvature and working angle. The clamping device includes a curved body having an overall length corresponding to that of the flexible section of the snorkel, and two pairs of clamping noses provided at two ends of the curved body for clamping at two ends of the flexible section after the latter has been adjusted to the desired curvature and working angle. The flexible section having the clamping device attached thereto becomes rigid without producing any back pull and therefore allows the adjustable snorkel to function like a fixed snorkel. By detaching the clamping device from the flexible section, the adjustable snorkel is restored from the fixed snorkel.

  • Publication number: 20020106950
Abstract: A flipper includes a foot pocket having a completely open front portion and a blade forward extended from two sides of the foot pocket, such that an opening is formed between the open front of the foot pocket and the blade to communicate an inner space of the foot pocket with a space behind the blade. A wearer's toes are exposed from the open front portion of the foot pocket to freely move in the opening and therefore lose an origin of force, making the wearer naturally apply forces from instep and plantar arch to move the blade downward and upward, respectively, and therefore be protected against sore and pain toe knuckles and convulsed calves, and allowed to dive for a prolonged time without consuming too much body strength.

  • Patent number: 5868593
Abstract: A flipper structure including a web portion and a shoe portion. There is an opening between the web and the shoe so that the two portions are connected at only two points on their sides. The flipper structure allows a wearer to swing the web portion during swimming or diving by manipulating an area of his foot near his ankle instead of using only his toes. This allows the wearer to swim or dive for a prolonged time and to avoid possible cramps and injury.

  • Patent number: 5692627
Abstract: The device offers an improved structure of bottom inlet nursing bottle, wherein an opening at the bottle bottom is provided with a unilateral diaphragm which can open only inward but close outward so as to help the baby suck milk comfortably together with the air introduced into the bottle from the bottle bottom. A protective plate is provided on the outer bottom surface and is able to open or close. An air inlet regulating device is provided on the protective plate and able to regulate the size of the air inlet so as to meet the different inlet volume of different babies. The air inlet can be closed so as to prevent the milk in the bottle from seeping out when preparing the milk and to prevent the warm-keeping water and the impurity in the water from infiltrating into the bottle when warming the milk.

  • Patent number: 5564130
Abstract: A soft nose projection diving mask with a drain mechanism wherein a through hole is provided at the nose bottom of a nose projection body of the soft nose projection diving mask, and a drain valve mechanism consisting of an upper valve cover and a lower valve cover is engaged with and through the through hole. The upper or lower valve cover is provided with an unidirectional valve diaphragm that opens outward so that the soft nose projection diving mask has a natural drain activated by the diver's exhalation. The nose projection body is soft and is used in the operation of "balancing pressure". An assembly plate is formed on the bottom surface of the nose bottom of the nose projection body. A bridge frame is formed at one end of the assembly plate and conforms to the shape of the bridge portion of the nose projection body. The assembly plate is also provided with a valve diaphragm guard cover to cover the lower side of the lower valve cover.

  • Patent number: 5558466
Abstract: A diving mask with a drain port on the lower front of a nose on the frame body of the mask. A flow guide tube is connected to the drain port and bent toward the lower edge of the nose. The flow guide tube of the drain port is provided with a check drain valve which uses the flow guide action of the flow guide tube to smoothly guide the water and the air blown out by the diver so that it flows to the lower edge of the diving mask without water diffusion. The diving mask also includes a fixing cover to cover the flow guide tube and nose so that the flow guide tube can be stably engaged with the nose.

  • Patent number: 5467508
Abstract: The present invention is related to a structure of tightening-up belt which comprises two belts, two holding-down plates and an embowed assembly plate, wherein the two sides of embowed assembly plate are provided with a slot and a shaft respectively, each of these two belts fas a plurality of check strips, the fixed ends of these two belts are pivotally fixed on two sides of a frame of the article to be used, and the free ends thereof pass through the slots on the two sides of the embowed assembly plate to be reversely folded around the shaft; each of two sides of the embowed assembly plate is provided with a holding-down plate capable of tightening or lossening the reversely-folded belts, thus the length of the tightening-up belt as a whole composed of two separate belts is adjustable, the tightening-up belt can be tightened through pulling the two belts toward two outer sides from the position where the two belts are connected, the tightness adjusting operation is handy and quick, and the tightening force t

  • Patent number: 5267556
Abstract: The present invention offers a snorkel with a laterally extended downward opening for air entry and a universally adjustable mouthpiece, specifically, a tube-like lateral extension from the top-end opening of the snorkel tube shares the same air space of the snorkel tube, by sharing the same top-end opening, and then is covered at that shared top-end opening to direct airflow in and out of the snorkel tube to the downward opening of the lateral extension, beneath which an upward-facing, protruding shield is placed, with the shield opening and the downward opening joining on the same plane to block out water while allowing airflow in and out along the protruding opening of the shield; the bottom of the shield is provided with a unidirectional diaphragm with an off-centered shaft for easy drainage; and the height difference between the downward opening and the top-end opening blocks water from entering the snorkel tube when the water level is at the downward opening, even though a little bit of water falls into
