    Abstract: An automatic and continuous glucose monitoring apparatus and method of using same based on binding proteins. The apparatus integrates an aseptic sampling technique, a specially modified chromatography column to hold immobilized binding protein, and a microfluorometer into a compact portable device. The apparatus permits the measurement of a very wide range of concentrations—from a few micromolar to several hundreds of millimolar of glucose.
