Publication number: 20240136000Abstract: A digital thermometer includes a first oscillator to generate a first clock signal, wherein a period of the first clock signal remains constant in view of changes in a temperature of the apparatus and a first counter coupled to the first oscillator, the first counter to count a fixed number of cycles of the first clock signal associated with a measurement period. The digital thermometer further includes a second oscillator to generate a second clock signal, wherein a period of the second clock signal varies with changes in the temperature and a second counter coupled to the second oscillator, the second counter to generate an output representing a count of a number of cycles of the second clock signal that occur during the measurement period. In addition, the digital thermometer includes calibration circuitry coupled to the second counter, the calibration circuitry to calibrate the output of the second counter to generate a value representing the temperature of the apparatus.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: Chiara Cerafogli, Kenneth William Marr, Marco Domenico Tiburzi, Matthew Joseph Iriondo, Warren Lee Boyer, Brian James Soderling, James Eric Davis, Fulvio Rori

Patent number: 11629789Abstract: A valve assembly is adjustable in three independent ways allowing it to provide a variable input volume. The valve assembly has a base and an entrance plate. An outer guide, an inner guide and a shaft, each with a passage, are held together and the shaft is rotatable between the guides. The valve is open when the passages of the inner guide plate and shaft are aligned and closed when the passages are not aligned. The shaft RPM determines how many times per minute the valve opens. The open/closed ratio of the valve assembly determines how long the valve is open during each half revolution. The location of the shaft up or down in relationship to the inner guide determines what percentage of possible flow passes through the valve during each half revolution. The valve assembly can be used with either a gas or liquid medium.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2020Date of Patent: April 18, 2023Inventor: Brian Lee Davis

Publication number: 20220327589Abstract: A system and a method are provided for directly communicating merchandise requests with vendors. The system and method enable customers to directly communicate with desired vendors to submit merchandise order requests with the necessary product information for the vendor to clearly identify. The user account enters a part order request for a specific vendor account. Once the part order request has been submitted by the user account, the part order request is relayed from the user account to the specific vendor account. Then, the specific vendor account accepts or declines the part order. Afterwards, the user account accepts or declines an order quote for the part order request, if the part order request is accepted by the specific vendor account. Then, a financial transaction for the part order request is executed between the user account and the specific vendor account, if the order quote is accepted by the user account.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 13, 2022Publication date: October 13, 2022Inventor: Steven Lee Davis
