Abstract: A computer-implemented method for managing prescription benefits in prescription claim or inquiry requests performed by one or more computers in a prescription order processing system includes receiving a prescription claim request related to a consumer from a requesting entity. A crosswalk file is retrieved that comprises information from a plurality of health plan member files describing benefits available to the consumer provided by a plurality of benefit providers. The crosswalk file is used to automatically determine an order submission sequence indicating an order in which claim or inquiry requests corresponding to the benefits are submitted to the benefit providers. The claim or inquiry requests are submitted to the benefit providers according to the order submission sequence. Responses from the benefit providers are automatically aggregated in order to generate an aggregated response to the prescription claim request. The aggregated response is transmitted to the requesting entity.

Abstract: A filter media retainer has a plate having a first end wall, a second end wall, and a pair of longitudinal sidewalls connected to opposing sides of the first end wall and the second end wall. The plate has a top surface opposite a bottom surface. A plurality of hopper-shaped compartments are formed on the top surface and have a first sloped wall and a second sloped wall angled toward the first sloped wall in a direction from the top surface toward the bottom surface. The plate further has a top sidewall on the top surface of the plate separating adjacent hopper-shaped compartments from each other. The plate further has at least one first slot extending through at least one of the first sloped wall and the second sloped wall, and at least one second slot extending through the top sidewall.

Abstract: An underdrain block for filtering water includes a top wall, a bottom wall, and two side walls connecting the top wall to the bottom wall to define an internal chamber. The bottom wall contains a plurality of orifices that allow liquid and solid materials to enter and exit the internal chamber. An underdrain filtering system can be formed by securing an underdrain lateral, which is formed from one or a plurality of underdrain blocks, to a filter floor. Also included is a method of preparing an underdrain lateral for providing even distribution of backwash water along the underdrain lateral and a method of validating even distribution of backwash water across an underdrain lateral.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a clarifier for water treatment including a plurality of planar inclined sheets including a flexible polymeric material. Each sheet includes a hydrophobic surface. The present invention is also directed to a clarifier that includes at least one module, each module including: a plurality of vertically-oriented supports and a planar inclined sheet including a flexible polymeric material tensioned between the plurality of vertically-oriented supports. The present invention is also directed to a water collection system of a water treatment system including: a collection trough configured to receive liquid and a buoyant member configured to support the collection trough.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of providing a discount to a consumer purchasing a medication from a pharmacy includes receiving, by a discount payer adjudication engine, a new benefit claim from a pharmacy computer comprising (i) a member identifier corresponding to a member and (ii) an indication of medication. The discount payer adjudication engine determines whether the member is eligible for the new benefit claim at least in part based on one or more previously approved benefit claims associated with the member. If the member is eligible for the new benefit claim, an approved claim response is transmitted to the pharmacy computer. If the member is not eligible for the new benefit claim, a denied claim response is transmitted to the pharmacy computer.

Abstract: A flush apparatus for a filter underdrain system can include a fluid connection member having a body with a first end and a second end, the first end adapted to connect to a fluid source; a top plate connected to the second end of the fluid connection member; and a bottom plate opposing the top plate and adapted to engage a top portion of an underdrain system, the bottom plate having orifices that distribute fluid to the underdrain system to transport materials through the underdrain system. A system for cleaning unwanted materials from a water or waste water treatment filter and a method of transporting unwanted materials through an underdrain system are also disclosed.

Abstract: While a pharmacist may know of other medications approved by the FDA for the same medical condition, the pharmacist typically does not know what the therapeutically equivalent dose of those products is when compared to the originally prescribed item. In addition to this lack of equivalent dosage information, the pharmacist also is unable to determine if any of those other FDA approved items will save the consumer any money. Accordingly, embodiments of the invention can provide pharmacists and/or consumers with equivalent dosage information as well as pricing information for the equivalent dosage. Accordingly, based at least in part on this information, consumers may have an incentive to and may decide to purchase to another prescription drug, thereby shifting market share to a preferred prescription drug or pharmaceutical manufacturer or provider.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for retaining or shifting prescription market share. The systems and methods may include receiving, from a pharmacy computer, a prescription claim associated with a drug requested by a customer; determining that a payor will not cover the prescription claim; subsequent to determining that the payor will not cover the prescription claim, determining that eligibility requirements in accordance with a market share retention program have been satisfied in order to make the drug available for free to the customer; and transmitting, to the pharmacy computer, a notice of availability of the free drug for the customer.

If the discount or payment is available, the systems and methods may include transmitting at least a notice of availability of the discount or payment to the pharmacy computer, or automatically adjudicating the claim back to the pharmacy with the reduced amount payable by the customer.

At the end of a pouring operation any droplets of liquid remaining on the surface occupy the channel and are held therein. The spout is formed of relatively thin material and may be provided in the form of a spring clip for fitting to a liquid container, or may be formed integrally with a liquid container.
