Abstract: A battery life prediction apparatus according to an embodiment disclosed herein includes a processor and memory having programmed thereon instructions that, when executed, are configured to cause the processor to obtain information about a charge end voltage of a battery corresponding to a charge protocol and predict a life of the battery corresponding to the charge protocol based on the information about the charge end voltage of the battery corresponding to the charge protocol.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a continuous blood glucose measurement device configured to prevent, in a state where a body attachment unit is inserted in and attached to a human body, an incision portion made by a guide needle from being formed to surround at least a part of a sensing area formed at a sensing member, whereby an incision portion is not formed around the sensing area so as to prevent the incision portion from causing a drop in a blood glucose measurement value and thus enable detection of an accurate blood glucose measurement value from the early stage of operation. Further, the guide needle has a shape not surrounding at least a part of the sensing area, so as to prevent, even without an additional device, the guide needle from forming an incision portion around the sensing area in a human body and thus enhance, by a simple structure, the accuracy of blood glucose measurement.

Abstract: A display system comprising a backlight device having a light emitting array, a liquid crystal panel, and a color filter having one or more absorbing dyes and, optionally, one or more dye enhancement compounds, wherein the one or more absorbing dyes and the one or more dye enhancement compounds are located in at least one color set of subpixels in the color filter. The one or more absorbing dyes may be a soluble, blue light, green light, or red light absorbing dye included in blue, green, or red subpixels of the color filter. A blue light absorbing dye may reduce transmission in a wavelength range of 410-430 nm, a green light absorbing dye may reduce transmission in a wavelength range of 490-570 nm, and a red light absorbing dye may reduce transmission of wavelengths less than 620 nm.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to adjust vias in integrated circuits (ICs) based on machine learning (ML). An example apparatus computes a dimension by which to extend a via based on at least one of a first metal wire in a first layer of the IC above the via, a via-to-via patterning constraint, or a via-to-metal shorting constraint for a second layer of the IC below the via. The example apparatus also computes a shifted position of the via based on at least one of (a) the dimension or (b) a width and a position of a second metal wire below the via, the width and the position predicted by an ML model. Additionally, the example apparatus adjusts a configuration file corresponding to the IC based on at least one of the dimension or the shifted position of the via.

Abstract: A display device includes a window module disposed on a display module. The display module has a peripheral region disposed on at least one side of an active region. The window module includes a pattern layer disposed adjacent to a window and overlapping the active region and the peripheral region. The pattern layer includes a transparent portion and a discoloration portion having a light transmittance lower than that of the transparent portion. Each of the transparent portion and the discoloration portion includes a discoloration inducer activated by a laser, so that the display device exhibits good display quality and excellent reliability properties.

The order-preserving encryption method may include when plaintext data is received from a client, storing a ciphertext database (DB), generated by encrypting the plaintext data, and a search index in a server, when a request for a range search query is received from the client, converting the range search query into a search index query statement, querying the server including search indices for the search index query statement, and querying the ciphertext DB of the server for an index ciphertext received in response to the query, and decrypting a ciphertext received as a response from the ciphertext DB and then transferring a plaintext-type response to the query statement to the client.

Abstract: A transistor in an integrated circuit (IC) die includes source and drain terminals having a bulk material enclosed by a liner material. A nanoribbon channel region couples the source and drain terminals. The nanoribbon may include a transition metal and a chalcogen. The liner material may contact ends and upper and lower surfaces of the nanoribbon. The transistor may be in an interconnect layer. The source and drain terminals may be formed by conformally depositing the liner material over the ends of the nanoribbon and in voids opened in the IC die.
