Publication number: 20220180726Abstract: The present disclosure is an electronic device that senses when the ignition of a vehicle has been turned off and automatically delivers a reminder, audibly, visibly, haptically or through other electronic means, to remind the driver to check the interior for any young passengers, pets, or valuables before exiting the vehicle. After this message is delivered, the device will continue to actively monitor the interior of the vehicle for both extreme compartment temperatures and any activity that indicates that a person or animal is still present inside of the vehicle. It will also sense any case where an individual has entered the vehicle unattended without the operator's knowledge and the vehicle is not started within a reasonable amount of time as expected. Once a determination for either of these situations has been made, an alert is delivered electronically to the vehicle owner or any other relevant parties in the vicinity.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 23, 2021Publication date: June 9, 2022Inventor: Lee Bender

Patent number: 7389161Abstract: An aeronautical navigation plotting instrument is provided that includes a plotting frame and a compass rose attached to the plotting frame. The compass rose includes angular markings incrementally disposed thereon about a center of the compass for defining the angular orientation of the compass. A longitudinal slot is aligned with the center of the compass rose and extends through the plotting frame to define an opening for receiving a writing instrument. A plurality of first radial openings extends through the plotting frame to allow a writing instrument to extend therethrough. Each first radial opening is incrementally spaced from an originating opening in the plotting frame to form a plurality of incrementally spaced radial distances from the originating opening.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2004Date of Patent: June 17, 2008Inventors: Stephen C. Publication number: 20070021049Abstract: A housing structure for improving air flow to the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine is claimed. The present invention is a replacement part for a factory-installed mass air flow sensor housing and is designed to allow for larger air flow through the housing through the use of a bypass air passage or calibration tube that reduces air flow as experienced by the mass air flow sensor. The calibration tube reduces air flow across the sensor with a larger bore on its inlet and a restriction in its outlet. The calibration tube is angled to reduce back flow from the engine.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 19, 2005Publication date: January 25, 2007Applicant: C & L Performance, Inc.Inventor: Lee Bender
