Publication number: 20250131453Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for quantifying avoided carbon emissions. The approach includes receiving, from a client device in communication with a digital platform, a request to execute a task by the digital platform. A token is assigned by the digital platform, the token is configured to uniquely identify the received request to execute the task using the digital platform. The digital platform receives a first value representing a baseline execution cost associated with executing the task. The digital platform determines, using the assigned token and based on execution of the task using the digital platform, a second value representing a reduction in execution cost attained by using the digital platform. The digital platform generates, based on a comparison of the second value to the first value, an attained execution reduction cost associated with the execution of the task by the digital platform.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2024Publication date: April 24, 2025Inventors: William Roper, JR., Christopher Lee Benson, Sriram Krishnan, Baha Aldeen E. A. Abunojaim, Danne Stayskal Huffaker, Ellie Daw

Patent number: 12259995Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for secure communications in a digital engineering ecosystem. In some implementations, a digital platform receives a request from a user device to interact with a digital model. The digital platform determines whether a user operating the user device is authorized. In response to determining the user is authorized to access the digital platform, the digital platform generates a token that provides the user with access to the digital platform. The digital platform determines whether the request includes malicious activity. In response to determining that the request is absent of the malicious activity, the digital platform executes a digital thread that executes one or more operations using digital tools and the digital model. The digital platform provides data indicative of the one or more operations executing the digital thread to the user device.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2024Date of Patent: March 25, 2025Assignee: Istari Digital, Inc.Inventors: William Roper, Jr., Christopher Lee Benson, Sriram Krishnan, Omar Valverde, Ellie Marie Daw, Mohammad Zahra, James C. Patent number: 10372843Abstract: A system and method for performing a simulation of aircraft networks. Characteristics of components of the aircraft networks are identified. The aircraft networks include a first set of networks within a plurality of aircraft and a second set of networks configured for communication between the plurality of aircraft. Virtual implementations of the components are generated based on the characteristics of the components. A simulation of the aircraft networks is performed that includes the virtual implementations of the components processing virtual flight test data generated by the virtual implementations of the components. The virtual flight test data for the components in the aircraft networks is compared to actual flight test data from the components in the aircraft networks to form a comparison. The characteristics of the components are then modified based on the comparison.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2014Date of Patent: August 6, 2019Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Jason Wayne Shelton, Patrick G. Patent number: 9664955Abstract: The described embodiments relate generally to liquid crystal displays (LCDs), and more particularly to methods for extending a glass portion of a display to an edge of a display housing. In one embodiment, a thin cover glass layer is provided between a color filter glass layer and an upper polarizer. The thin cover glass layer is supported along an edge of the display by a filler material that can include a foam dam and a glass spacer or adhesive filler. The filler material allows the cover glass layer to be supported without damaging any drivers or circuits located on an underlying thin film transistor glass layer. In another embodiment, a glass spacer circuit with integrated drivers and circuitry on its lower surface can support the cover glass along the edge of the display.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2013Date of Patent: May 30, 2017Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Eric Lee Benson, Bryan W. Publication number: 20150076979Abstract: A storage apparatus for use on a wall and with jewelry is disclosed. The apparatus includes a receiver and a cover. The receiver is adapted to receive the jewelry and is attached to the wall in use such that the receiver presents the jewelry received away from the wall. The cover has a presentation face and is attached to the receiver for sliding movement between a storage position where the receiver is disposed behind the presentation face and an extended position beside the receiver to permit access to jewelry received by the receiver. The presentation face can be a mirror; or a picture-receiving face, in which case, the apparatus also functions as a picture frame; or a transparent panel, in which case the apparatus also functions as a presentation fixture.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2013Publication date: March 19, 2015Inventor: Kerri-Lee Benson
