    Abstract: A fluorescent tube lamp socket having a housing with opposing sided electrical contacts with one of the contacts and housing portion pivotal relative to the other to allow for increased access and easier placement of a lamp therein. The bulb socket housing having a cavity providing for pivotal movement during lamp insertion that once placed therein is pivotal to a seated locked position ensuring contact between the bulb pins and socket electrical contacts.
