  • Patent number: 10669809
Abstract: A pressure control valve located in an improved tubing hanger of an oil or gas wellhead. The pressure valve having in-line communication with the production bore and having pressure activation. The pressure activation is imparted by utilizing hydraulic pressure input through the existing test port into the tubing head adapter void space. The pressure actuates the in-line wellhead control valve in a safer, more efficient, and less expensive manner than current industry practices and provides a barrier to pressurized hydrocarbons, both liquid and gas, produced by the well. The control valve eliminates the need for a lubricator and expensive specialized equipment. The valve is easily operated by a standard hydraulic hand pump through the existing test port of the tubing head adapter, and fits inside the tubing hanger.

  • Patent number: 8434199
Abstract: A knob safety assembly is operative to selectively restrict depression of a cooking element control knob. The safety assembly includes a blocking plate disposed inside of a bezel assembly. The bezel assembly includes an outer bezel defining one or more angled camming surfaces, and an inner bezel. Rotation of the inner bezel with respect to the outer bezel about a rotational axis slides an ear of the blocking plate along the camming surface to effect movement of the blocking plate along the rotational axis between a raised position, in which the blocking plate restricts depression of a cooking element control knob, to a recessed position, in which the blocking plate facilitates depression of the control knob. The inner bezel is releasably locked from rotating with respect to the outer bezel, and engages the blocking plate to constrain the blocking plate against movement along the rotational axis when locked.

  • Publication number: 20120128922
Abstract: An eating assistance mat includes a substantially planar sheet of a pliable grippy material with a perimeter and first and second oppositely facing surfaces with a minimum thickness therebetween and defined by the perimeter. The first surface faces a first direction and substantially covers the entirety of the sheet within the perimeter. The second surface faces a second direction opposite the first direction and substantially covering the entirety of the sheet within the perimeter. The first surface be substantially smooth, while the second surface includes a plurality of protrusions thereon that extend outward generally in the first direction. The protrusions may be arranged in a regular array, and may be round when viewed normal to the second surface. The sheet may be sized and shaped to fit, while laying flat, within a rectangle of 16 inches by 11 inches.

  • Patent number: 7328466
Abstract: A splash guard includes a shield that deploys in one direction, such as horizontally, but that also can be moved in a transverse direction, such as vertically, relative to a housing upon deployment. The retractable shield is used in a bathtub environment to help form a short retractable vertical wall across the open side of the bathtub to help return splashed water to the bathtub. Methods of using a retractable splash guard are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7153902
Abstract: Water-continuous emulsion of elastomeric polymers are disclosed having a solids content of greater than 75%, an average particle size less than 5 ?m, and having sufficient stability to produce a stable lower solids emulsion upon dilution with water comprising; an elastomeric polymer, surfactant, water, optional plasticizer, optional low molecular weight acid, and is essentially free of organic solvents. The water-continuous emulsions of elastomeric polymers can be prepared by; (I) forming a premix that is essentially free of organic solvents comprising an elastomeric polymer and surfactant, and optionally a plasticizer and low molecular weight acid, and (II) adding water to the premix with mixing to form a water continuous emulsion of the elastomeric polymer having a solids content of greater than 75%, an average particle size less than 5 ?m, and having sufficient stability to produce a stable lower solids emulsion upon dilution with water.

  • Patent number: 6807999
Abstract: A retractable barrier particularly adapted to providing a readily viewable boundary across a pathway so that a child may be discouraged from wandering outside the safe zone established thereby. A main post assembly rotatably supports a net carrier for rotation about an axis. A net of substantial height is secured on one end to the net carrier and has a secondary post secured to the other end. A spring is disposed between a cap and an upper flange. The spring secures to the cap and engages the net carrier assembly to supply a retraction bias to the net carrier. A first ground sleeve is inserted in the ground and adapted to releasably engage the lower post mount. A second ground sleeve is inserted in the ground and adapted to releasably engage the second post. The barrier is moveable between a retracted configuration and a deployed configuration.
