Abstract: While smart shopping carts can improve shopping experiences, they are expensive. Accordingly, an intelligent electronic shopping system is disclosed that enables any standard shopping cart to be converted into a smart shopping cart. Disclosed embodiments facilitate the fulfillment of multiple orders at once by personal shopper/delivery driver (PSDD) workers by providing, for example, order segregation, specific navigational instructions for a shopping trip, intelligent weighing systems, and/or easy checkout that avoids checkout lines.

Abstract: A fragrance sampling device having an inner wall of at least one layer that defines an air cavity and is made of a material capable of retaining a fragrance carrier, and an outer wall of at least one layer made of a material that is substantially impervious to the fragrance carrier. Air containing molecules of fragrance that evaporate from at least one layer of the inner wall is released through at least one opening in the inner and outer walls to the outside of the device when pressure is applied to the device.

Abstract: A scent dispensing device includes a hollow cavity defined by a resilient material configured to form a substantially flat packet, a porous and absorbent scent emitting material disposed within and free to move within the cavity, the scent emitting material retaining a scent which is imparted to air within the cavity, and an opening formed in the resilient material, the opening allowing air within the cavity to escape the packet during a compression of the packet and allowing air outside the packet to enter the packet when the compression terminates.
