  • Patent number: 10807254
Abstract: An easily adjustable trimming tool for precisely cutting the edge of carpeting and other types of sheet material. The tool is an easily grippable block that is constructed as a two-part molded plastic block, each part having molded ribs and reinforcing fastener bores that make for a lightweight, yet sturdy device that is economical to manufacture. Cutter assemblies and an adjustable heel allow for an easy adjustment to the length of the blade, so as to enable a long cut, standard cut, or short cut.

  • Publication number: 20190387817
Abstract: A support frame for a knee pad has three major components that interlock with each other to form a rigid and strong frame capable of supporting the weight of a person who is working on knees. The three components are molded of a rigid plastic material. The upper component has a knee seat and a strap for wrapping around the leg of the wearer; the lower component has a cuff for wrapping around the wearer's ankle. Fastener devices for attaching the knee pad and the straps to the support frame are either incorporated into or provided on the support frame.

  • Patent number: 8561311
Abstract: The invention is an apparatus for accurately measuring and cutting a stair tread. The apparatus has an length-adjustable bar to determine the width of a step and, at each end of the bar, sidewall adjustment assemblies that are pressed up against the sidewall and tightened into place. The sidewall assemblies have two or more movably coupled plates that accommodate out-of-square condition of a sidewall. A noseplate assembly on the front of the sidewall adjustment assembly allows an adjustment to accommodate the thickness of the tread material.

  • Patent number: 7937769
Abstract: A knee pad with a support frame, a pad, and a boot. The pad is assembled on the support frame to provide a cushioning surface between the support frame and the wearer's leg. The pad has ears in the knee section and in the ankle section, which serve to maintain the support frame and pad in proper alignment on the leg. The boot provides a non-slip, non-marring surface against the floor, when the wearer is working in a kneeling position. A moisture-absorbent liner, which is easily removed for cleaning or replaceable, may also be fitted on top of the pad, to provide an absorbent layer between the pad and the wearer's leg.

  • Patent number: 4876745
Abstract: A knee pad has a flat bottomed support dimensioned to underlie the kneecap and a substantial adjacent length of the tibia. The support has a cushioned concavity for the knee and a channel for the lower leg which is inclined upwardly away from the plane of the flat bottom and towards the foot. The channel terminates in a fork disposed to straddle the instep of the shoe on that foot. The depth of the concavity is such that at least the greater part of the wearer's weight is borne by the tibia. The knee pad has a cuff of hard surfaced but flexible material by which it is detachably secured to a lower leg and fitted against the calf thereof. Both that portion of the support which is to underlie the knee and the forked end of the channel may have sections which may flex.
