Publication number: 20130300180Abstract: Disclosed is a dump gate comprised of a three sided metal frame with pivot points attached to the lowest point of the existing bucket's frame on the outside with appropriate hardware. The front side of the dump gate has a proper angled blade that closes the dump gate and contacts the front side of the lower portion of the existing bucket less a safety gap. When the bucket is used to collect engineered material the dump gate raises to allow the bucket to receive its contents. When the bucket is lowered the dump gate drops to the allowed opening that is restricted by its controlling chain and the contents is released in a metered amount allowing both quality and quantity of the contents to be released. The dump gate reduces the need for additional manual labor usually used to control quality and quantity.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2012Publication date: November 14, 2013Inventor: Tony Lee Graves

Patent number: 7257945Abstract: A method to use diesel fuel alchohol micro emulsions (E-diesel) to provide a source of reductant to lower NOx emissions using selective catalytic reduction. Ethanol is stripped from the micro emulsion and entered into the exhaust gasses upstream of the reducing catalyst. The method allows diesel (and other lean-burn) engines to meet new, lower emission standards without having to carry separate fuel and reductant tanks.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2003Date of Patent: August 21, 2007Assignee: U T Battelle, LLCInventors: Michael Delos Kass, Ronald Lee Graves, John Morse Elliot Storey, Samuel Arthur Lewis, Sr., Charles Scott Sluder, John Foster Thomas

Patent number: 7214192Abstract: A method of vascular testing includes inflating a cuff at a vascular location, controllably deflating the cuff, producing a pressure waveform while deflating the cuff, and producing an output representing a pressure at which blood flow returns, while deflating the cuff, based upon analysis of the pressure waveform. Further, a testing system for measuring vascular pressures according to the present invention includes a pressure applicator, a pressure sensor, and a diagnostic test unit. The pressure applicator is positionable along exterior portions of a human body for dynamically applying pressure to a desired vascular location. The pressure sensor is capable of detecting oscillations in a pressure at the pressure applicator.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2004Date of Patent: May 8, 2007Assignee: BioMedix, Inc.Inventors: Marius Poliac, Gary Warner Blanch, Victor Florin Glava, Daniel James Ince, Andrew Paul Karels, William Lee Rogers, John Alexander Romans, Michael Jerome Siers, Charles Fredrec Steaderman, Ricky Lee Grave

Patent number: 7172555Abstract: A vascular sensing system includes blood flow restricting means, a sensor, and means for producing an output representing a return of blood flow after the blood vessel has been temporarily collapsed by the blood flow restricting means. The blood flow restricting means is capable of placement on a human toe having a blood vessel, and is capable of manipulating the blood vessel. The sensor is operably connected to the blood flow restricting means and is physically spaced from the toe. Further, a method of vascular sensing includes taking pressure measurements with an pressure cuff positioned on a toe, and conducting a waveform analysis of the pressure measurements to determine a return of blood flow pressure.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2004Date of Patent: February 6, 2007Assignee: BioMedix, Inc.Inventors: Marius Poliac, Gary Warner Blanch, Victor Florin Glava, Daniel James Ince, Andrew Paul Karels, William Lee Rogers, John Alexander Romans, Michael Jerome Siers, Charles Fredrec Steaderman, Ricky Lee Grave

Patent number: 7166076Abstract: A vascular testing system includes a pressure applicator, a pressure source for generating fluid pressure at the pressure applicator; a variable orifice valve, and a valve control. The variable orifice valve is in fluid communication with the pressure applicator, and has an orifice size capable of dynamically changing. The valve control controls the variable orifice valve as a function of sensed pressure to produce substantially linear changes in pressure at the pressure applicator. Further, a method of vascular pressure measurement according to the present invention includes providing an applied pressure higher than a patient's systolic blood pressure at a vascular location, substantially linearly decreasing the applied pressure at the vascular location, and dynamically detecting vascular pressure oscillations at the vascular location as the applied pressure is decreased.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2004Date of Patent: January 23, 2007Assignee: BioMedix, Inc.Inventors: Marius Poliac, Gary Warner Blanch, Victor Florin Glava, Daniel James Ince, Andrew Paul Karels, William Lee Rogers, John Alexander Romans, Michael Jerome Siers, Charles Fredrec Steaderman, Ricky Lee Grave

Patent number: 6178180Abstract: A communications adapter card provides an interface for a TI or E1 transmission line and a signal processing circuit which can be programmed to process receive and transmit data in either an ISDN or an ATM format. Preferably, two such interfaces and two such signal processing circuits are provided on the card, so that a single adapter card can be used for attachment to both an ISDN network and to an ATM network. Each signal processing circuit includes a pair of DSPs, each of which has a two port buffer extending to a parallel bus. All such DSPs are connected to a data bus. The DSPs in each signal processing circuit execute programs to operate in either an ATM mode or an ISDN mode.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 1997Date of Patent: January 23, 2001Assignee: International Business Machines Corp.Inventors: Robert Chih-Tsin Eng, Kevin Lee Graves, Himanshu Chandrakant Parikh, John Claude Sinibaldi

Patent number: 4020398Abstract: Electrical equipment, such as telephone station apparatus, exposed to occasional, destructively high, voltage surges (e.g., lightning strikes) is protected by a device, placed in parallel with the equipment, including two electrodes defining a fixed narrow spark gap. Such a device is designed to spark over with each surge and to recover afterward, restoring the line to its original condition. The predominant failure mode of such devices is shorting across the narrow gap, due to electrode damage produced during the protective arcing mode. In the disclosed devices, the electrodes define a narrow region, determining the protective breakdown voltage, and a wider region, sustaining the major part of the electrode damage. Shortly after the initiation of the protective discharge in the narrow gap region, the discharge is forced into the wider gap region by the provision, in at least one of the electrodes, of a high resistance path at the narrow gap region.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 1975Date of Patent: April 26, 1977Assignee: Bell Telephone Laboratories, IncorporatedInventor: Lee Graves McKnight
