Abstract: A bed base kit includes left and right side rails and a head and foot rails. The first end of the left side rail interconnects with the left end of the head rail at a left head joint. The first end of the right side rail interconnects with the right end of the head rail at a right head joint. The second end of the left side rail interconnects with the left end of the foot rail at a left foot joint. The second end of the right side rail interconnects with the right end of the foot rail at a right foot joint. The joints have male and female interconnect elements cooperatively operable to interconnect the respective ends. A center rail may also be provided for supporting a midportion of slats, with the center rail having ends that interconnect with the head and foot rail.

At least one flexible circuit may be mounted on the outer surface of the expandable balloon. The at least one flexible circuit may include a first insulating layer, at least one heat sensing device positioned at least partially within the first insulating layer, a conductive layer above the first insulating layer, at least a portion of which is electrically coupled to the heat sensing device, a second insulating layer above the conductive layer, and at least one electrode associated with the conductive layer.

Abstract: A scanner for moving sheet material such as a paper-making machine provides the gauging heads which measure parameters such as basis weight and moisture entirely inside an enclosed tubular beam. Each gauging head is driven by a single belt which both drives the gauging head in a cross direction perpendicular to the moving sheet direction and provides for dust and dirt protection by covering a slot in the beam, except where the gauging head is located.
