  • Patent number: 10789779
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to providing a location-based holographic experience. One example provides a head-mounted display device comprising a see-through display, one or more position sensors, a logic subsystem, and a storage subsystem comprising instructions executable by the logic subsystem to obtain data representing a plurality of holographic objects, acquire sensor data via the one or more position sensors to monitor a position of the head-mounted display device along a path of a holographic experience, detect that the position of the head-mounted display device meets a first position-based condition regarding a first holographic object, and display the first holographic object at a corresponding location for the first holographic object.

  • Patent number: 10728198
Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter includes a system to receive, from a plurality of compute devices, a set of media files and a set of geolocations, each media file from the set of media files captured by a compute device from the plurality of compute devices and each geolocation from the set of geolocations associated with a compute device from the plurality of compute devices. The system determines an event geolocation based on the set geolocations. The system sends a request message to a compute device from the plurality of compute devices when it is determined that the compute device is departing from the event geolocation. The system receives from the departing compute device, at least one media file associated with the event and publishes, via a host server, the set of media files and the at least one media file associated with the event.

  • Patent number: 10650613
Abstract: A system includes a machinery protection monitoring system. The machinery protection monitoring system includes a memory configured to store a plurality of alarm escalation rules associated with an operational protection function of an industrial machine, and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory and configured to utilize the plurality of alarm escalation rules. The processor is also configured to receive an indication that the operational protection of the industrial machine is at least partially suspended, compare the measurement of the one or more operational parameters to at least one of the plurality of alarm escalation rules, and generate an alarm signal based at least in part on whether the at least one of the plurality of alarm escalation rules is satisfied. The alarm signal includes an indication of an adverse operational condition of the machinery protection monitoring system.

  • Patent number: 10401848
Abstract: A protection monitoring system is provided that includes a protection fault handler. The protection fault handler includes a protection fault indicator. The protection fault handler is configured to activate the protection fault indicator upon indication of a protection fault signal. Moreover, the protection fault signal is indicative of a critical fault which has occurred in a protection system monitored by the protection monitoring system. The protection monitoring system also includes a user inhibit handler. The user inhibit handler includes a user inhibit indicator. Moreover, the user inhibit handler is configured to activate the user inhibit indicator upon indication of a user inhibit signal. Furthermore, the user inhibit signal is indicative of a user-enabled alarm inhibit or a user-enabled bypass.

  • Patent number: 9473764
Abstract: Embodiments that relate to displaying a computer generated image to a viewer via a stereoscopic display system are disclosed. One disclosed embodiment comprises establishing a predetermined threshold distance from an eye of a viewer to a threshold displayed position of a computer generated image. The method includes determining that a vergence distance from the eye of the viewer to a current displayed position of the image is at or below the predetermined threshold distance. Based on the vergence distance being at or below the predetermined threshold distance, a size of the image is increased while maintaining the vergence distance at the predetermined threshold distance as the eye of the viewer moves toward the image.
