Abstract: A stretch laminate having a first nonwoven material, a second nonwoven material, an elastic film. The elastic film has a first longitudinal side edge and a second longitudinal side edge. The stretch laminate further has a first plane of adhesive having differing amounts of adhesive as measured laterally within the stretch laminate. The differing amounts of adhesive being controllable. The first plane of adhesive being interposed between the first nonwoven material and the elastic film. The stretch laminate further has a second plane of adhesive having differing amounts of adhesive as measured laterally within the stretch laminate. The differing amounts of adhesive being controllable. The second plane of adhesive being interposed between the second nonwoven material and the elastic film. Each of the above elements are substantially laminated together to form a laminate. The laminate is activated to form the stretch laminate.

  • Publication number: 20150112835
Abstract: The 3D models includes parametric data and metadata. A software enables a user to specify search criteria for a selected product among a plurality of products whose 3D models are stored on the data storage device. The search software returns a list of product(s) matching the search criteria. The user selects a product and the 3D model of the selected product is streamed to the user software. The 3D model is then displayed to the user, who now can interact with the 3D model by selecting, hovering over, or decomposing the 3D model to reveal parts or subassemblies of the product in one or more stages of decomposition. Finally, e-commerce software communicates with the user software allowing the user to initiate an ecommerce transaction with respect to the parts or subassemblies depicted in the 3D model of the selected product.

  • Patent number: 8861374
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for compensating for time-based sampling using packet elimination are disclosed herein. An example method may be implemented in a network device communicatively connected to a network. The method may include: receiving a packet over the network at a monitoring point; replicating the received packet; determining whether to sample the replicated packet using a time-based sampling scheme; upon determining that the replicated packet should be sampled, queuing the replicated packet to a port of the network device; determining whether to eliminate the queued packet by comparing a configured sample rate with a current sample rate; upon determining that the current sample rate is less than the configured sample rate, exporting the queued packet from the network device; and upon determining that the current sample rate is greater than or equal to the configured sample rate, dropping the queued packet.

  • Patent number: 8796579
Abstract: A flange (13) for use in direct resistance heating of a glass-carrying vessel (10), such as a finer, is provided. The flange comprises a plurality of electrically-conductive rings which include an innermost ring (140) which is joined to the vessel's exterior wall (12) during use of the flange and an outermost ring (150) which receives electrical current during use of the flange. The innermost ring (140) comprises a high-temperature metal which comprises at least 80% platinum and the outermost ring (150) comprises at least 99.0% nickel. This combination of materials both increases the reliability of the flange and reduces its cost. In certain embodiments, the flange can also include one or more rings (190) composed of a platinum-nickel alloy which has a lower thermal conductivity than platinum or nickel and thus can serve to reduce heat loss through the flange.

  • Publication number: 20140195177
Abstract: Systems and methods of detecting arcing in a DC power system that can provide improved noise propagation immunity. The system includes at least two current sensors for monitoring at least two current outputs, respectively. The current sensors have reverse polarities, and are configured and arranged in parallel to provide a combined current output signal. The current sensors monitor the respective current outputs, which are provided for monitoring by the current sensors over at least two adjacent conductors. If arcing occurs at a location on a first conductor, then arcing (adjacent conductor crosstalk), having an arc current signature like that of the arcing on the first conductor, can occur at a location on the other adjacent conductor. The system can effectively cancel out such adjacent conductor crosstalk within a photovoltaic (PV) system, thereby improving the capability of an arc fault detection device for detecting arcing at the PV string level.

  • Publication number: 20140142874
Abstract: Systems and methods of detecting arcing in DC power systems that can differentiate between DC arcs and load-switching noise. The systems and methods can determine, within a plurality of predetermined time intervals, at least the pulse count (PC) per predetermined time interval, and the pulse duration (PD) per predetermined time interval, in which the PC and the PD can correspond to the number and the intensity of potential arcing events in a DC power system, respectively. The systems and methods can process the PC and PD using one or more arc fault detection algorithms, thereby differentiating between DC arcs and load-switching noise with increased reliability.
