  • Patent number: 10824867
Abstract: A method and system for improving damage assessment by automatic measurement of virtual objects within an augmented reality (AR) representation of a physical environment are disclosed. A user interacts with a mobile computing device to position and resize virtual objects within a virtual space corresponding to a physical environment, which is presented to the user as an AR environment generated by the mobile computing device. The virtual objects are positioned and sized to match damaged physical objects within the physical environment. The sizes of the physical objects are automatically determined using the virtual sizes of the virtual objects, which physical sizes are further used to determine the extent of damage.

  • Patent number: 10720080
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining a quality of driving of a vehicle is presented. Information indicating at least one driving condition may be received from at least one driving condition information indicating device. The at least one driving condition may be different from each of a plurality of driving metrics, and may affect a relationship between the quality of driving and at least one of the plurality of driving metrics. Information indicating the at least one driving metric may be received. At least one indication of the quality of driving of the vehicle may be determined based on the information indicating the at least one driving metric and the received information from the at least one driving condition information indicating device. The at least one indication of the quality of driving may be provided to at least one of the driver, a driving instructor, or an insurance provider.

  • Patent number: 10554649
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for performing blockchain validation of user identity and authority. In various aspects one or more processors receive a first blockchain ID and a second blockchain ID, where each of the first blockchain ID and the second blockchain ID is associated with a user and is further associated with a first and second blockchain, respectively. A plurality of blockchain transactions may be aggregated where the plurality of blockchain transactions includes at least a first blockchain transaction associated with the first blockchain and a second blockchain transaction associated with the second blockchain. A first validation event providing a first indication of validity for the user may be identified based on the first blockchain transaction or the second blockchain transaction.

  • Patent number: 10373387
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for enhancing and developing a damage scene virtual reality (VR) visualization. Annotated immersive multimedia image(s) may be received from a first user, where the annotated immersive multimedia image(s) can be associated with a damage scene. A VR visualization of the annotated immersive multimedia image(s) may be rendered using a VR device associated with a second user. The VR visualization may be used to determine a damage amount, where the damage amount is determined from one or more damaged items identifiable in the annotated immersive multimedia image(s).

  • Patent number: 10355875
Abstract: A system for utilizing movement-based control data is presented. The system may include a control device configured to generate a control signal corresponding to at least one movement associated with the control device. The system may also include a target device. The target device may be configured to receive the control signal corresponding to the movement(s) associated with the control device. The target device may also be configured to process the control signal to determine at least one indication of the movement(s) associated with the control device. The target device may additionally be configured to determine at least one control command based on the at least one indication of the movement(s) associated with the control device. The target device may further be configured to execute the at least one control command so that at least one particular device is controlled based on the at least one control command.

  • Patent number: 10313148
Abstract: A system for movement-based device control is presented. The system may include a control device configured to generate a control signal corresponding to at least one movement associated with the control device. The system may also include a target subsystem located remotely from the control device. The target subsystem may be configured to change from operating in a manually-controlled mode to operating in a remotely-controlled mode in response to receiving a mode change signal from the control device. The target subsystem may also be configured to receive the control signal from the control device when operating in the remotely-controlled mode. The target subsystem may additionally be configured to determine, based on the control signal, at least one control command. The target subsystem may further be configured to cause the control command(s) to be executed so that the target subsystem is controlled according to the control command(s).
