  • Publication number: 20250026306
Abstract: A vehicle including a rear closure, a detection unit and a notification unit is disclosed. The rear closure may move between a closed state and an open state. The detection unit may detect vehicle access device position in proximity to the vehicle. The notification unit may output visual and/or audible notifications. The vehicle may further include a processor that may determine that the vehicle access device has entered a predefined zone in proximity to a vehicle rear portion based on inputs from the detection unit. The processor may activate the notification unit to output notifications for a predefined time duration responsive to determining that the vehicle access device has entered the predefined zone. The processor may further determine a time duration the vehicle access device stays in the predefined zone. The processor may cause the rear closure to open when the time duration is greater than the predefined time duration.

  • Patent number: 9709052
Abstract: Systems and methods quickly regulate hydraulic fluid pressure to meet hydraulic fluid demands in subsea equipment over long umbilicals. A hydraulic power unit includes a reservoir and a pump for pumping hydraulic fluid from the reservoir into a fluid supply line to subsea equipment. A supply-side module located downstream of the hydraulic power unit includes a circulation pump in communication with the supply line for circulating hydraulic fluid in a circuit including the fluid supply line and a fluid return line. A demand-side module is located upstream of the subsea equipment and includes a diverter valve for opening or closing the circuit. Adjustments can be made to the circulation pump and the diverter valve such that hydraulic fluid is circulated through the circuit. The pressure of the supply-side module is greater and does not exceed twice than the pressure of the demand-side module.

  • Publication number: 20160096535
Abstract: A control system requires an affirmative action from an operator to disengage. This precludes a situation where an automatic drive system disengagement sequence is completed while the operator is either incapacitated or unavailable. Requiring an affirmative action by the operator ensures a machine's continued and efficient operation.

  • Patent number: 8871098
Abstract: The invention discloses an apparatus and method to uniformly disperse ozone gas bubbles into liquid phase water for the treatment thereof. The apparatus consists of a water inlet section connected with a section with structured packing or monolith having parallel flow channels. A portion of the influent water is withdrawn from the main water stream as a side stream, pressurized by a pump, mixed with ozone-containing gas, and then injected back into the main water flow. The side stream may be divided into multiple streams either before or after mixing with the ozone-containing gas, and then injected into the main flow section upstream of the packed section. In alternate embodiments, the ozone-containing gas can be injected directly through the gas diffusers just upstream of the packed section in order to achieve uniform concentration of gas and liquid in the fluid entering the monolith.
