Abstract: Embodiments disclose a docking station that may include a transmitter to send an identifier associated with the docking station to a mobile device proximate to the docking station, and a receiver to receive settings from the mobile device. The settings may be based on the identifier associated with the docking station, and the settings specify at least one of a ring volume, a ringtone, or a list of contacts. The docking station may also include a processor to interpret the settings so that the docking station performs according to the settings.

Abstract: A method includes docking a mobile device in a docking station and providing, by the mobile device, identification information to the docking station, where the identification information identifies a user associated with the mobile device. The method also includes forwarding, by the docking station, the identification information to a network device, and receiving, by the network device, the identification information. The method also includes updating, by the network device, a database based on the received identification information.

Abstract: A device may receive a first message that indicates whether an application layer gateway is hosted on the router, send a second message to test whether a firewall on the router incorrectly blocks the second message from reaching a client, send a set of messages to detect a pinhole in the firewall, and generate a report that provides results of receiving the first message, sending the second message, and sending the set of messages.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for forwarding communications automatically. The apparatus includes a processing element that receives data from a local connection point or a network element regarding the presence of a device at or near the local connection point or other location. The device is associated with a first communications terminal and transmits a signal that can be detected by the local connection point or the network element. Upon receiving the data, including an indication of the presence of the device, the apparatus may automatically forward communications from one or more communications terminals to a particular communications terminal, as specified by forwarding instructions. The forwarding instructions may be provided by a user ahead of time or included in the data received by the apparatus, and the instructions may be stored in a storage element of the apparatus. Systems, methods, and computer program products for forwarding communications automatically are also provided.

Abstract: A device may obtain, from a remote device on a network, information regarding loads and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) devices on which the loads are installed. In addition, the device may access a database storing load compatibility information, identify problematic loads based on the obtained information and the load compatibility information, determine fixes for one or more of the problematic loads, and apply the fixes to the one or more of the problematic loads over the network.

Abstract: A phone docking station includes a docking port configured to physically dock with a mobile phone. The docking port further includes a charging port configured to connect with the docked mobile phone and to supply a charging current to a battery of the mobile phone, and a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port. The phone docking station further includes a system configured to carry VoIP traffic from an external network through the USB port to the mobile phone, and from the mobile phone through the USB port to the external network; and enable, via the USB port, media streaming from the phone docking station to the mobile phone, and from the mobile phone to the phone docking station.

Abstract: A docking station includes a docking port configured to physically dock with a mobile device, wherein the docking port includes an input/output port. The docking station further includes a communication interface configured to send and receive traffic via a wired network. The docking station also includes a processing unit configured to set-up multiple Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) via the wired network and one or more other networks, assign at least one network address from multiple network addresses to each one of the multiple VPNs, and configure, via the input/output port, the mobile device to send and/or receive traffic via selected ones of the multiple VPNs.

Abstract: A mobile device determines whether the mobile device is docked with a docking station that connects to a VoIP network, where the mobile device is capable of receiving calls to a cellular telephone number and calls to a VoIP telephone number. The mobile device notifies, if the mobile device is docked with the docking station, a call handling node in a cellular network to forward calls destined for the cellular telephone number to the VoIP telephone number at a VoIP call server. The mobile device receives a call forwarded from the VoIP call server, where the call was originally destined for the cellular telephone number.

Abstract: A mobile device establishes a first network connection via a first communication interface when the mobile device is in a first docking status with a docking station. The mobile device sends Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) traffic associated with a VoIP call via the first network connection, and activates a second network connection via a second communication interface when the mobile device is in the first docking status, where the second network connection is different than the first network connection. The mobile device re-directs the VoIP traffic via the previously activated second network connection based on a change in docking status of the mobile device with the docking station to a second docking status.

Abstract: A client application installed at a mobile device determines whether the mobile device is docked in a docking station. The client application receives an indication of an emergency call being placed by a user of the mobile device. The client application selectively routes the emergency call either through a wired network or a wireless network based on whether the mobile device is docked in the docking station.
