    Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein include a docking station for a mobile device, for example. The docking station may include a docking port configured to physically receive a mobile device and a receiver to receive a list of contacts from the mobile device. The docking station may also include a display to show the list of contacts, wherein each contact is associated with a sensor for receiving an input from a user for selecting the corresponding contact. The docking station may further include a transmitter to send a selection of one of the contacts in the list of contacts, as input by the user via the sensor corresponding to the selected contact, to the mobile device to initiate a telephone call with a device associated with the selected contact.

    Abstract: An apparatus is provided for forwarding communications automatically. The apparatus includes a processing element that receives data from a local connection point or a network element regarding the presence of a device at or near the local connection point or other location. The device is associated with a first communications terminal and transmits a signal that can be detected by the local connection point or the network element. Upon receiving the data, including an indication of the presence of the device, the apparatus may automatically forward communications from one or more communications terminals to a particular communications terminal, as specified by forwarding instructions. The forwarding instructions may be provided by a user ahead of time or included in the data received by the apparatus, and the instructions may be stored in a storage element of the apparatus. Systems, methods, and computer program products for forwarding communications automatically are also provided.

    Abstract: A network mobility device registers with a switch in a telephone network, and receives a first message from a docking station indicating that a mobile device has undocked from the docking station. The docking station includes a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone that has a wired connection to a data network, and the mobile device includes a portable digital computing device. The network mobility device receives a call, destined for the mobile device, routed from the switch, and sends an alert message, based on the undocking of the mobile device and the received call, to the mobile device to notify a client of the mobile device of the call. The network mobility device forwards the call, based on the undocking of the mobile device, from the network mobility device to the client at the mobile device via the data network.
