  • Patent number: 9971489
Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) for training includes, in some embodiments, a first group of icons arranged about a first axis, where the first group of icons corresponds to computer-generated animation concepts. The GUI also includes a second group of icons arranged about a second axis that intersects the first axis at a particular icon along the first axis. The second group of icons corresponds to videos that illustrate the computer-generated animation concept associated with the particular icon on the first axis. The GUI can also include a third group of icons arranged about a third axis that intersects the first axis at another icon along the first axis. Horizontal correspondence between icons along the second and third axes indicates logical relationships between the corresponding training content.

  • Publication number: 20150160240
Abstract: The present invention provides methods of determining whether a subject has a Dengue virus infection that is likely to develop into a life-threatening Dengue disease and methods of selecting a treatment regimen for a subject in need thereof who has been infected with a Dengue virus. The invention further provides a prognostic kit for distinguishing a subject who is likely to develop a mild Dengue disease from a subject who is likely to develop a life-threatening Dengue disease. The methods and kits of the invention can be used to differentiate DHF from DF and severe and non-severe forms of Dengue with high sensitivity and specificity.

  • Publication number: 20080001760
Abstract: The present invention provides a storage shelf (312,314,316) in a RFID tracking system (100). In one embodiment, the storage shelf (312,314,316) is on a medical supply trolley (300). Each storage shelf (312,314,316) has two RFID antennae (340a, 340b) that are aligned substantially orthogonal to each other. Each RFID antenna (340) is tuned to a resonant frequency, and with a bandwidth below and above the resonant frequency. The bandwidth defines a Q factor such that the antenna (340) is insensitive to a conductor placed near the antenna (340).

  • Publication number: 20030141103
Abstract: An improved PCB bond pad (22, 40, 50, 60) having a dimensioned geometry that improves solder re-flow and facilitates outgassing of bubbles generated in solder during re-flow to reduce voiding. The improved PCB bond pad design is particularly useful to improve re-flow for RF devices that are sensitive to voiding in solder after re-flow and provides an excellent ground plane/heat sink connection. The present invention includes a printed circuit board (PCB) having a patterned bond pad defining solder channels (30, 42, 52, and 62). During re-flow, bubbles outgas through the channels from under a contact pad (34) of an overlying IC device thereby providing nearly 100 percent solder coverage at interface of device exposed pad and PCB bond pad.

  • Publication number: 20030103761
Abstract: There is provide an optical device comprising a planar structure adapted so that light coupled into an optical layer of the device follows a folded optical path, thereby increasing the interaction length, wherein the folded optical path is substantially perpendicular to the planar structure so as to render the optical device substantially polarization insensitive. Typically, the folded path is achieved by modifying at least one of an upper surface of the optical layer and a lower surface of the optical layer such that it is no longer planar, but instead comprises one or more angled facets.
