The control circuit may receive a response to the invitation for the second vehicle to join the vehicle platoon, the response indicating one or more characteristics of the second vehicle. The control circuit may determine that the second vehicle is to be included into the vehicle platoon based on the one or more characteristics of the second vehicle. The control circuit may, in response to determining that the second vehicle is to be included in the vehicle platoon, generate instructions for the second vehicle to join the vehicle platoon. The control circuit may output the instructions for the second vehicle to join the vehicle platoon.
