  • Publication number: 20250229123
Abstract: Improvements in a dry land training exerciser is disclosed that can simulate a variety of different water-based exercises while on dry land to allow simulation of surfing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and swimming by changing the top member platform. One or two cords or ropes operate on a retraction mechanism to produce a load to simulate the exercise. The top member exercise platform is mounted on a confocal parabolic cylinder that allows the exercise platform to simulate wave motion by altering the position and angle of the user as if going up and down a wave. The exerciser includes a display the user can view when exercising. The display can run a pre-recorded simulation of a prior water activity or can use motion of the user to calculate body position and movement to then generate an approximation of the outcome of the user on the water.

  • Patent number: 8025146
Abstract: Improvements in a compliant upright drink insulator attachment device that is works with a standard drink insulator. The attachment device uses two parts where one part mates with the second part to slip through a standard insulated drink holder. These insulated drink holders are commonly called coolies or koozies and are manufactured with a central hole to allow for draining. A clip connects a compliant cord to one or both of the two parts. The compliant cord is configured as a coiled cord. A weight is connected to the free end of the compliant cord to keep the insulated drink holder in an upright orientation in the water. The compliant cord allows the weight to move semi independent from the insulated drink holder, and further allows the weight to be stored within the insulated drink holder for storage when it is not being used.
