Patent number: 12044470Abstract: A system and method for recovering high-quality biomethane (RNG) from biogas sources is provided. The gas stream is compressed and liquids are separated from the gas stream at elevated pressure and reduced temperature. The compressing is performed using a plurality of compressors operating in parallel with common control set points. The system and method improve upon conventional practices and yield a biomethane product which meets strict gas pipeline quality specifications. Additionally, the system and method are an improvement to the overall methane recovery efficiency for biogas processing facilities.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2024Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: WM INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY HOLDINGS, L.L.C.Inventors: Derek Christensen, Jon Denault, Greg Miles, Keith Ott, Douglas Lee Palmer, Jr.

Publication number: 20220028186Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include a recording system that captures vehicle data including a vehicle identification number (VIN) and sensor data, such as odometer readings, positional information of the vehicle, or engine hours of the vehicle, and correlates the VIN to the sensor data. The recording system described herein also compares the VIN to a previously recorded VIN identifying a new VIN to determine whether a change of vehicle has occurred. If no change of vehicle occurred, the recording system may continue to capture data and/or transmit the vehicle data to a management server. If the change of vehicle occurred, the recording system may transmit a notification to one or more devices to alert vehicle tracking personnel (e.g., fleet managers) of the change of vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2021Publication date: January 27, 2022Inventors: Miranda Korin LEADBEATER, Jason Lee Palmer

Patent number: 9643786Abstract: A telescoping belt tightener for conveyors includes an elongated outer body and a slider tube inserted in one end, with the slider tube able to slide into and out of the outer body to varying lengths. An adjuster at an opposing end can be turned to extend or retract the slider tube from the outer body. A bearing collar, with a bearing cavity that fits a spherical bearing, is attached to the slider tube. A collar shield snugly fits with the bearing collar to keep contaminants from entering the bearing cavity. One or both ends of the outer body include a stopper for keeping contaminants from entering the outer body. The outer body is round and without standing surfaces on which food and debris could accumulate. The outer body and adjuster are unitary parts without crevices in which contaminants can collect. The belt tightener is well-suited for food-grade applications.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2016Date of Patent: May 9, 2017Assignee: Bryant Products, Inc.Inventors: Adam Lee Palmer, Collyn McKinley Rankin, Jon Michael Helt, Todd A. Patent number: 8424705Abstract: A cover retention mechanism for releasably locking a cover to a base such as a gage housing. The cover retention mechanism includes a base lock having a receiver and a receptacle, and a cover lock having a latch attached to an end of a flexible arm. The latch is selectively movable between a retracted position wherein the latch engages the receptacle to prevent rotational movement of the cover with respect to the housing from the closed position toward an open position, and an extended position wherein the latch is removed from the receptacle and the cover is rotatable with respect to the housing from the closed position toward the open position.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2009Date of Patent: April 23, 2013Assignee: Dwyer Instruments, Inc.Inventors: Brian Lee Palmer, Michael A. Popp

Publication number: 20120173302Abstract: Econometric information is produced based upon real data that has been electronically acquired in real time. The acquired data is analyzed to select data records having attributes unique to a particular activity of interest. The selected data records are aggregated, adjusted, and used to create a statistical index or metric related to an economic activity. The statistical index or metric, together with information illustrating or interpreting information, is electronically distributed. As an example, a Pulse of Commerce Index related to shipment of goods is produced by electronically processing and storing data relating to financial transactions involved in purchase of goods and services. Data records are selected that involve fuel purchases, which act as a proxy for freight activity. Using the selected data records, both national and regional indices based upon fuel purchases are produced and distributed.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2010Publication date: July 5, 2012Applicant: CERIDIAN CORPORATIONInventors: Todd Alan Dooley, Charles Todd Joseph, Brian Lee Palmer, Edward Emery Leamer

Patent number: 5199604Abstract: Irrigation system and method for delivering a selected one of multiple liquid solutions to a treatment site include a plurality of solution reservoirs, each including a quantity of a respective liquid solution, a handpiece, a selector valve for fluidly coupling the handpiece to a selected one of the liquid solutions and a pump for causing a selected one of the liquid solutions to flow to the handpiece for delivery to the treatment site. Each of the liquid solutions may have a color which is distinguishable from the color of the other liquid solutions and the tubing to the handpiece is transparent so that the color of a liquid solution flowing through the tube is visible during treatment thereby enabling the identity of the particular solution being used to be quickly verified during treatment. The irrigation system is preferably a closed system with the pump as well as a heater for heating the liquid solution being situated outside of the flow path of the liquid solution.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1991Date of Patent: April 6, 1993Assignee: Sultan Chemists, Inc.Inventors: Lee Palmer, James Marsall
