Patent number: 11274776Abstract: A connector device has male and female parts with respective coaxial passageways. An external screwthread of a collet engages an internal screwthread on the female part and relative rotation between those screwthreads causes engagement of the female and male parts. A slot in the collet extends longitudinally and is open at both ends to enable the collet to be splayed as a split collet. A wedge located between the male part and the collet is displaceable longitudinally to splay the collet and lock the male and female parts in a sealing engagement. The connector includes a ring surrounding the end of the collet remote from the engagement between the male and female parts to resist splaying of the collet at that end. The connector without the male and female parts may also be used for connecting other such male and female parts.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2017Date of Patent: March 15, 2022Assignee: KUTTING UK LIMITEDInventors: Lee Peter Shorrock, Kevin Johnson, Peter Shorrock

Patent number: 11138808Abstract: A method of processor-aided design of a workholding frame for a manufacturing process includes using a processor to perform operations including receiving, by a processor, first data representing a first three-dimensional (3D) model of an object to be manufactured. The operations further include obtaining, by the processor, second data describing a second 3D model. The second 3D model represents a bounding box having one or more sides adjoining a surface of the object within the first 3D model. The operations further include automatically generating, by the processor and based on the first data and the bounding box, third data indicating one or more parameters of the workholding frame. The workholding frame and the object are to be formed based on the one or more parameters and as a single workpiece from a blank material during a machining process associated with the object.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2019Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANYInventor: Justin Lee Peters

Patent number: 10888079Abstract: A tip for a fishing lure retrieval apparatus includes a tip body having an outer peripheral surface extending longitudinally between first and second tip body ends. The tip body is structured for threaded engagement with an extension handle, and includes a resilient appendage attached to the tip body at a location that is axially between the first tip body end which attaches to the handle, and the second tip body end. The resilient appendage may include a coil spring that projects from the outer peripheral surface and has formed therein slots distributed successively along the resilient appendage to receive a fishing line at a range of locations relative to the tip body.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2018Date of Patent: January 12, 2021Assignee: Side Kick Lure Retriever LLCInventor: Tony Lee Peters

Publication number: 20200148438Abstract: The present disclosure provides a container including a housing shell and an interior sleeve positioned within the housing shell. The housing shell can include a magnetic panel within one end, wherein the magnetic panel is positioned flush against at least one end of the interior sleeve. The position of the magnetic panel determines whether the container is in a locked or unlocked position. The interior sleeve can slide in and out of the housing shell when the container is in the unlocked position.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2018Publication date: May 14, 2020Inventors: Adam Charles Brown, Nathan Lee Peters, Brad Steven Zaikov

Publication number: 20200148435Abstract: The present childproof container with pressure-operated lid provided includes a cylindrical container, wherein the outside diameter of the lid matches the dimensions of the container body, wherein the lid and body engage in a screw-type mating mechanism. The threaded insert in the lid assembly rotates freely inside the outer insert that mates tightly to the lid sleeve when the lid assembly is rotated in either direction. The top surface of the inner threaded insert of the lid assembly has protrusions that can match grooves or channels on a bottom surface of the tightly-mated outer insert, allowing the components to engage with each other when inward pressure is applied to the top of the outer sleeve to open the container.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2019Publication date: May 14, 2020Inventors: Adam Charles Brown, Nathan Lee Peters, Brad Steven Zaikov

Publication number: 20200148436Abstract: The present childproof squeeze cap tube container includes a cylindrical container with a screw-type mating mechanism on an insert within the cap that nests inside the cap sleeve and moves independently from the exterior shell of the cap. The insert can rotate independently from the cap sleeve when the cap sleeve is rotated in either direction. The exterior surface of the insert of the cap assembly has vertical grooves, channels, ribs or similar surface texture, wherein the interior surface of the cap sleeve has matching surface grooves, channels, ribs, or surface texture to the insert component of the cap assembly, allowing the sleeve and insert to grip each other and move together when inward pressure is applied to the outer sleeve.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2019Publication date: May 14, 2020Inventors: Adam Charles Brown, Nathan Lee Peters, Brad Steven Zaikov

Patent number: 10550970Abstract: A connector (10) has a male part (12) connected to a female part (50), and each has a passageway which is coaxial with the other when the parts (12 and 50) are connected. A collet (24) surrounds the male part (12), is coupled thereto, and has an external screwthread which engages an internal screwthread on the female part (50), whereby relative rotation between those screwthreads in a given sense causes the female part (50) to sealingly engage the male part (12). The collet (24) has a slot (40) extending longitudinally with respect to the axis of the screwthreads to enable it to be splayed. A wedge (34) between the male part (12) and the collet (24) is displaceable longitudinally with respect to the axis of the screwthreads to splay the collet (24) and lock the male and female parts (12 and 50) together in a sealing engagement.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2015Date of Patent: February 4, 2020Assignee: KUTTING UK LIMITEDInventors: Lee Peter Shorrock, Kevin Johnson, Peter Shorrock

Patent number: 10550969Abstract: A connector has a cylindrical sleeve device having a first part, with an external screwthread on its outer side, and a second part, with an internal screwthread on its inner side. One of the screwthreads engages a corresponding screwthread on a further part when the device is in use. At least a portion of the said second part is yieldable. A locking part is provided with a screwthread which engages the other of the screwthreads of the cylindrical sleeve device when the connector is in use. The second part and the locking part have mutually engageable portions which, when the locking part is tightened relative to the cylindrical sleeve device, interengage to cause yielding of the second part or yieldable portion thereof. This effects locking of the cylindrical sleeve device with respect to such a further part when the connector is in use.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2015Date of Patent: February 4, 2020Assignee: KUTTING UK LIMITEDInventors: Lee Peter Shorrock, Kevin Johnson, Peter Shorrock
