  • Publication number: 20220391852
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for assisting an employee to record and classify all work activities at a granular level that meets the requirements of the employer's operational needs as well as government or organizational rules easily and systematically. The system achieves the goal by utilizing the information typically found in employee calendars such as meetings and group events, wherein the system assists the employee by automating the recording and classification process by identifying common activities that employees perform both before and after an event, allowing an employee to select the activities actually performed, learning which activities are typically associated with which event by a particular employee or class of employee, and then using predictive algorithms in order to automatically record an employee calendar of activities being performed whenever events are identified on an employee calendar system.

  • Patent number: 8035752
Abstract: According to various embodiments, an event production kit is provided that includes storage cases for storing production equipment, such as cameras, monitors, and microphones, and an electronic production equipment case for storing an audio mixer, a video switcher, and computers for encoding and distributing the production. In addition, in one embodiment, the electronic production equipment case includes a vertical panel that includes a plurality of ports that are pre-wired to the audio mixer, video switcher, and the computers for coupling the production equipment together. The storage cases and the pre-wired panel facilitate transporting the kit to the event location and reduce the amount of time and resources required for setting up the equipment prior to the event, according to various embodiments. In addition, the selection of the type of equipment included in the kit, according to one embodiment, provides for a high quality, lower cost production than is currently available.

  • Publication number: 20100131356
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring effectiveness of advertisements. Consumers who opt-in may be presented with advertisements, and after viewing the advertisements, the participants may be asked to respond to the advertisement in a standardized survey environment. The participants may be asked to rate, on a scale of 0 to 100, each advertising piece in terms of various factors such as: desire rating, relevance, information, attention, innovation (or change), likeability, etc. These responses, combined with demographic information about the participants and meta data pertaining to advertising such as brand, product and the media that the advertising is designed for, may be used to measure the persuasive power of the advertising content, the likelihood of repeat viewing of the advertising, the likelihood of having word-of-mouth effect and the overall effectiveness of advertising content.

  • Publication number: 20090070407
Abstract: According to various embodiments, an event management system is provided that provides a single interface through which a production team can schedule a production of an event, produce the production of the event, and direct distribution of the production. For example, in one embodiment, the event management system provides a web interface through which a member of the production team can create, or build an event, by specifying the name of the event, type of event, specific details about the event, whether the event will be broadcast live, and the date and time of the broadcast for the event. The event management system stores this information and provides at least a portion of it to a distributor that will be distributing (or broadcasting) the event to viewers. In addition, the event management system displays a pre-production checklist to guide the production team through the testing and production set-up process.

  • Patent number: 7087665
Abstract: Cationic aqueous emulsions of rubber modified asphalt cement (RMAC) useable for paving, seal coat, slurry seal, roofing, coating and other applications. First, a RMAC is prepared by combining 45 to 90% by weight asphalt with about 5% to about 55% by weight solid recycled rubber (e.g., crumb rubber from used vehicle tires) under conditions that cause at least a substantial portion of the solid rubber to become liquified or otherwise incorporated into the asphalt. The RMAC may be treated with dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid (DDBSA) which causes reaction(s) to occur and results in a lowering of the viscosity of the RMAC. The RMAC (or DDBSA-treated RMAC) may then be emulsified in an aqueous medium to provide an aqueous emulsion.

  • Patent number: 7074846
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods of making improved rubber modified asphalt cement compositions, and compositions made by the method, where the compositions are useful in paving, roofing, coating and other sealing applications. In one aspect, the method comprises combining asphalt, RVPR (or a blended mixture of asphalt and RVPR) and at least one dodecyl or tridecylbenzene sulfonic acid (SA), which can be linear (LAS) or branched (BAS), in the presence of moderate heat. After heating the resultant RMAC mixture exhibits at least one of the following: (1) an increase in softening point, (2) an increase in hardness, or (3) improved recovery from deformation. In another aspect, the invention teaches addition of at least one SA to previously manufactured RMAC to accomplish at least one of the following: (1) an increase in softening point, (2) an increase in hardness, or (3) improved recovery from deformation.

  • Patent number: 6980108
Abstract: There is provided an electronic security system for a perimeter structure that incorporates a fiber optic cable secured to the perimeter structure. Typically the perimeter structure is a fence. A light pulse is transmitted down the fiber optic cable. Mechanical attenuation devices disposed at various locations along the fiber optic cable are responsive to intrusion attempts. The mechanical attenuation devices produce measurable attenuations to the light pulse. Using backscattering light detection technology an intrusion attempt and the location of an intrusion is detected.
