Abstract: Tracking messages in a mentoring environment includes presenting to a reviewer a computer-based activity tracking form that is populated with data from an underlying relational database. The underlying relational database includes a content of e-mail messages addressed to an adult mentor and a content of e-mail messages addressed to a juvenile protégé. The underlying relational database also includes a status of e-mail messages between the adult mentor and juvenile protégé as determined by an e-mail interceptor. A status of an e-mail, between the adult mentor and the juvenile protégé, which has been intercepted by the e-mail monitor is displayed. In response to a displayed status indicating that the e-mail has not been reviewed, transmission of the e-mail to an intended recipient is blocked. In response to the displayed status indicating that the e-mail has been reviewed, transmission of the e-mail to the intended recipient is enabled.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing a query at a computer system. The method includes building a query tree based on the query and grouping at least some nodes of the query tree into a group of nodes. Grouping is based on an operator node that is a parent of the at least some nodes. The group of nodes retains the functionality of the operator node but the operator node is eliminated by replacing the operator node with the group of nodes in the query tree. The method also includes traversing the query tree to obtain a result list from a search index that is responsive to the query.

Abstract: A treated substrate with improved availability of a beneficial component for transfer to a target surface and methods for making the same are described. The substrate has a contacting surface with a beneficial component that is transferred from the contacting surface to a target surface during use of the article. The beneficial component is applied to the article in such a way as to “Top-Bias” the component on or near the contacting surface of the article.

In support thereof, the architecture also includes a mechanism for mailboxes to expose all or only a subset of mailbox features, and to advertise which mailbox features are supported.

Abstract: Materials and a method are provided whereby polymers with least 0.5 mole % of the pendant group or end group containing —Si(OR?)3 (where R? is H, an alkyl group, Na, K, or NH4) are used to control aluminosilicate scaling in an industrial process having an alkaline process stream such as a pulping mill process stream. When materials of the present invention are added to the alkaline process stream, they reduce and even completely prevent formation of aluminosilicate scale on equipment surfaces such as evaporator walls and heating surfaces. The present materials are effective at treatment concentrations that make them economically practical.

Further, the method may include initiating a present action when the forecasted risk is above a first predetermined threshold at a future time.
