  • Patent number: 11983786
Abstract: A computer-based system for facilitating the execution of law enforcement duties is disclosed. More particularly, according to one aspect of the invention, an electronic system is configured to facilitate the performance of law enforcement duties by quasi-instantaneously providing actionable intelligence to its users, such as front-line law enforcement officers, in response to a real-time query. According to another aspect of the invention, a system implements a set of automated status classifications for subjects with suspected or confirmed involvement in criminal activities. The status classifications specifically and concisely establish the subject's involvement in criminal activities. According to yet another aspect of the invention, a system executes a streamlined electronic process for handling and processing seized items so as to ensure that criminal assets are efficiently and effectively seized, and that asset forfeiture actions are effectively initiated against the seized items.

  • Publication number: 20060002830
Abstract: A new method of silane abatement is achieved. The novel silane abatement system comprises a water-filled chamber within an outer chamber. An air intake is located in one upper portion of said outer chamber and an exhaust output is located in another upper portion of the outer chamber. A silane gas intake pipe runs into the outer chamber and has its output under water in the water-filled chamber. A drain is connected through a valve at a bottom portion of the water-filled chamber. Many safety features are built into the wet abatement system, including temperature and water level sensors, water sprinklers, and means for shutting off air supply, exhaust, and silane intake. Waste silane gas is bubbled into a water-filled chamber. The waste silane gas is reacted with oxygen in water in the water-filled chamber whereby SiO2 precipitates are formed and wherein the SiO2 precipitates settle to a bottom surface of the water-filled chamber.

  • Patent number: 5160853
Abstract: A programmable timer for turning a light on and off in response to changing sunset, daylight savings time, and other programmable conditions. The programmable timer includes an input device, a microprocessor, and a switch. The input device provides calendar, geographical, and daylight savings information to the microprocessor, which stores the programming information. The microprocessor computes an effective switching time from the stored information. The microprocessor employs program logic that compares the effective switching time to the current time to generate a timing control signal. The timing control signal, in turn, causes the switch to turn a light on and off. In the preferred embodiment, the microprocessor and the switch are included within a housing which mounts on a wall in place of a normal light switch. A liquid crystal display is disposed on a face of the housing to provide a read out of the programming information and of the time of day.
