  • Publication number: 20080239713
Abstract: A self-contained, solar-powered light fixture for illuminating the exterior of a building door. The fixture includes a light source, a rechargeable battery, and a solar collector. The collector charges the battery when ambient light is relatively high (i.e. during the day), and the battery powers the light when ambient light is relatively low (i.e. during the night). The solar collector is removable from the fixture, enabling the solar collector be mounted in a location separate from the fixture.

  • Patent number: 6322326
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved, modular condensate pump assembly that has a collection tank which can be disposed at any convenient location to collect liquid condensate. A removable support plate is supported on the collection tank, and a pump extending into the collection tank is supported by the support plate. A liquid volume control float, also supported by the support plate, communicates with the pump to activate the pump to remove liquid condensate from the collection tank when the condensate liquid reaches a predetermined volume.

  • Patent number: 5494417
Abstract: An improved pump assembly having a housing assembly, a motor assembly and a pump, the housing assembly having a motor mounting plate supporting the motor assembly and the pump. The motor assembly has a motor with a rotatable shaft extending through a shaft aperture in the motor mounting plate to operatively connect to an impeller of the pump. The motor assembly includes a shaft sealing and alignment assembly which provides precise alignment and sealing of the rotatable shaft by a shaft seal mount and a shaft seal disposed in a precisely configured shaft seal bore therein. The shaft seal mount attaches to the motor and has its distal end disposed in the shaft aperture of the motor mounting plate.

  • Patent number: 3969043
Abstract: A submersible pump having a volume chamber with a volute wall integrally formed with and extending internally to a hermetically sealed housing. A fixed bearing is pressed in the interior wall of the volume chamber and is so established to determine the axial alignment of a drive shaft passing therethrough. The drive shaft is also supported by a self-aligning bearing disposed within the housing. An impeller, disposed within the volume chamber, is connected to the drive shaft. A drive motor enclosed in the housing rotates the drive shaft and the impeller, the motor being surrounded by a coolant fluid therein. Inlet and outlet ports are provided to complete the pump. As the impeller is rotated to pump a process fluid, the coolant fluid in the housing serves to lubricate the bearings and to effect heat transfer from the motor and bearings through the walls of the volume chamber to the process fluid.
