  • Publication number: 20220247790
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples, are methods, systems, and machine-readable mediums for identifying security vulnerabilities across a plurality of access control policies. An administrator of the computing resource may be alerted to these vulnerabilities to allow the administrator to craft a policy, or modify an existing policy, to close these security gaps. In other examples, the system may automatically suggest and/or apply a modification to an existing policy or a new access control policy that closes the security gaps. The vulnerabilities may be determined based upon a comparison of the access control policy criteria in the previously set access control policies and a set of possible values of access control signals to determine access scenarios that are not covered by the access control policies.

  • Patent number: 11185751
Abstract: An apparatus for holding one or more boards during martial arts training, includes a support frame configured to hold various training station assemblies, each of the station assemblies structured differently to provide different training functionality, the first station including a number of plates that work together to hold the board(s) at a position such that upon striking of the board(s) a portion of the first station collapses to allow for follow through during the striking motion, the second station including a number of plates that work together to the board(s) at a desired and modifiable angle, and the third station being configured to hold the board(s) at a hanging position beyond the profile of the support frame, which may be positioned on a support base resting on a horizontal surface such as a floor or may be directly affixed to a vertical surface such as a wall.

  • Patent number: 11182316
Abstract: Interrupt code conversion for efficient computer program recovery. In response to an error being detected while processing instructions of a computer program running on a computer system, the OS receives a first program interrupt code (PIC) and interrupts the computer program. Control of the computer program is passed to a program interrupt handler and the program interrupt handler inspects the first PIC issued as a result of detecting the error. The first PIC is converted to a second PIC wherein the second PIC is associated with another error predicted when subsequent running of the computer program occurs. The second PIC is presented to a recovery routine associated with the computer program and, in response to the detected error, running of the computer program is customized based on the second PIC rather than the first PIC.

  • Publication number: 20210211470
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of evaluating a result of enforcement of access control policies instead of enforcing the access control policies. For instance, a result of enforcement of an access control policy with regard to sign-in processes is evaluated instead of enforcing the access control policy with regard to the sign-in processes. The evaluation includes monitoring access requests that are received during the sign-in processes. Each access request requests access to a resource. The evaluation further includes comparing attributes of each access request against the access control policy that specifies criteria that are to be satisfied as a prerequisite to granting access to the resource to which access is requested by the respective access request. Metadata associated with the sign-in processes is generated instead of enforcing the access control policy with regard to the sign-in processes.

  • Publication number: 20210015173
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an aerosol delivery device and a cartridge for use with an aerosol delivery device. In some implementations, the aerosol delivery device may comprise a holder, and a cartridge comprising an outer housing, a heat portion comprising a heat source, and a substrate portion comprising a substrate material including an aerosol precursor composition. The outer housing may comprise a heat end and a substrate end, wherein at least one of the ends of the outer housing includes at least one opening, and wherein the cartridge is configured to be removable and replaceable within the holder. Some implementations may include an intermediate housing, wherein the heat portion and the substrate portion are contained within the intermediate housing. Other implementations may include an inner housing, wherein an inner chamber is defined within the inner housing and an outer chamber is defined between the inner and outer housings.

  • Publication number: 20200391495
Abstract: An improved method for manufacturing a continuous self-healing barrier film is provided. The method includes slot-die coating opposing sides of a separator substrate with a curing agent slurry and a curable resin slurry using a single-sided coating line or a tandem coating line. The method also includes sequentially interleaving inner and outer protective layers via a continuous roll-to-roll process to create a multi-layered barrier film. The barrier film can optionally be formed into a barrier envelope, and an insulating core material can be inserted into the barrier envelope to define an enclosure. Evacuating and sealing the enclosure along a perimeter of the barrier envelop forms a self-healing vacuum insulation panel with excellent properties for use as a building material and in refrigeration systems, for example. The barrier film can alternatively be used in the manufacture of tires, roofing, cargo containers, food packaging, and pharmaceutical packaging, for example.

  • Publication number: 20200286110
Abstract: A system including a processor may filter a population to identify a group having members, and deliver, over an electronic network, a survey to members of the group to determine value preferences and value gaps. The survey may be made according to a set of paired comparisons or other related techniques. The system may generate vectors according to the determined value preferences and value gaps for members of the group, which may have lengths equal to numbers of determined values for the members. The system may cluster members of the group into segments by calculating patterns of differences between generated vectors. Results of this process enable the creation of a predictive model to estimate segment membership, which can be used in the generation of a promotion for display corresponding to a clustered segment, and deliver the promotion to a client device associated for display.

  • Publication number: 20190188741
Abstract: A computer-implemented method can include receiving multiple survey response sets, where each survey response set includes the responses of a survey taker. A maximum weight spanning tree can be defined. Each node of the maximum weight spanning tree can represent a survey question. Directional edges can connect nodes. A weight for each directional edge can be defined that represents mutual information of two nodes connected by that directional edge. A fraud detection score can be defined for each survey response set based on a conformance of response values for that survey response set to the mutual information represented by the edges of the maximum weight spanning tree. A distribution of the fraud detection scores can be determined, and a subset of the survey response sets can be classified as fraudulent based on the fraud detection scores associated that subset being statistical outliers in the distribution of fraud detection scores.
