  • Patent number: 11499910
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for obtaining a vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) image using a discrete frequency infrared (DFIR) microscope are disclosed. The method includes generating a pulsed laser beam comprising a spectral frequency, which may be tunable; modulating the laser beam to generate circularly polarized light; illuminating a sample and collecting, and detecting an optical signal transmitted or transflected from the location of the sample. The detected signal is demodulated at, for example, both the pulse frequency and the sum or difference of the pulse frequency and the modulating frequency to obtain an intensity value that correspond to the absorbance, and a polarization-dependent value that corresponds to the VCD. Other configurations of the apparatus may be employed to measure VCB and VLD.

  • Publication number: 20170272061
Abstract: A voltage clamping circuit is provided. In an embodiment, the voltage clamping circuit includes a plurality of gain shifting circuits and a signal processing circuit. The plurality of gain shifting circuits receive an input voltage and voltage levels to generate a plurality of shifted voltages. The signal processing circuit generates a difference value of the plurality of shifted voltages to generate an output voltage according to the difference value, such that the voltage clamping circuit achieves an implementation of a passing band or a rejection of the input voltage.

  • Patent number: 8640307
Abstract: A hinge has a central element and a surrounding element. One of the central element and the surrounding element is formed by injection molding, and the other element is then formed on the priorly-formed element by injection molding such that a limit segment is mounted around the neck segment having a smallest outer width of the central element, which keeps the surrounding element from departing from the central element, and further simplifies a structure of the hinge. Because a melting point of the element formed priorly is higher than a melting point of the element formed later, the element formed later does not attach to the element formed priorly, and the two elements are relatively rotatable. Finally, because the manufacture of the hinge is accomplished after injection molding twice, the process of manufacturing the hinge is more convenient, faster and lowers the cost.

  • Publication number: 20140014801
Abstract: A rotatable seat for a sucker has a stationary plate and a rotating plate. When in used, the stationary plate is attached to the platform of the car by tape or other ways. Because an outside surface of the rotating plate is smooth, the assistant device can be attached to the smooth outside surface easily and securely by sucker. Then the assistant device is connected securely to the platform. Because a mounting segment of the rotating plate is mounted in a mounting hole of the stationary plate, and multiple outside positioning segments on the mounting segment engage with multiple inside positioning segments on the mounting hole, the rotating plate and the stationary plate are relatively rotatable, and are selectively held at specific angles. Thus, the assistant device can be adjusted to a fine visual angle for the user on the passenger seat or the rear seat.

  • Publication number: 20140001674
Abstract: A manufacturing method for a hinge has steps of forming one of a central element and a surrounding element by injection molding, cooling down the formed element, and forming the other element on the priorly-formed element by injection molding such that a limit segment of the surrounding element is mounted around the neck segment, which keeps the surrounding element from departing axially from the central element, and further simplifies a structure of the hinge. Because a melting point of the element formed priorly is higher than a melting point of the element formed later, the element formed later does not attach to the element formed priorly. Therefore, the two elements are relatively rotatable. Finally, because a manufacturing process is accomplished after injection molding twice, the process is more convenient and faster, and the cost is lowered.

  • Patent number: 8026705
Abstract: A bootstrap circuit is utilized in a bulk circuit using an NMOS transistor as a power switch. The bootstrap circuit includes a first PMOS transistor coupled between an internal power source and an offset capacitor, and a second PMOS transistor coupled between the gate of the first PMOS transistor and the offset capacitor, and an NMOS transistor coupled between the gate of the first PMOS transistor and ground. When the power switch is turned on, the second PMOS transistor is turned on for turning off the first PMOS transistor. When the power switch is turned off, the NMOS transistor is turned on for turning on the first PMOS transistor.

  • Publication number: 20100109559
Abstract: An LED charge pump driving circuit includes a charge pump, a control circuit, a driver, and an LED. The charge pump generates an output voltage according to an input voltage. The driver drives the LED according to the output voltage so as to generate a load voltage. When the load voltage is greater than a first predetermined voltage, the charge pump is turned on. When the load voltage is smaller than a second predetermined voltage over a predetermined duration, the charge pump is turned off. When the load voltage is greater than a third predetermined voltage, the driver is locked.
