Abstract: A content reproducing method and system for performing seamless playback of contents between devices is provided. The contents reproducing system includes a portable device which, when a short distance communication with a remote control which is configured to control an electronic device occurs during reproducing of contents, generates data required by the electronic device for reproducing the contents that are being reproduced, and which transmits the generated data to the remote control; the remote control which receives the data from the portable device and which transmits the received data to the electronic device, in conjunction with the occurrence of the short distance communication with the portable device; and the electronic device for receiving the contents from a contents provider and reproducing the contents.

Abstract: A method and corresponding user equipment (UE) for configuring a circular buffer in a wireless communication system. The method includes: generating a code block including a payload, a first outer code parity, and a second outer code parity from an input signal based on an outer code in a higher layer; generating a codeword from the code block based on an inner code in a physical layer; and configuring a circular buffer including the codeword and one or more second outer code parities.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a motor-driven compressor with an inverter that is connected with an external power source via a connector part and controls a driving part which drives a compressing part to compress fluid. A printed circuit board is provided between the connector part and the driving part. Thus, noise transmitted from the driving part to the connector part is reduced, so that it is possible to minimize the transmission of the noise to an external power source.

Abstract: An integrated circuit package and a method of fabrication of the same are provided. An opening is formed in a substrate. An embedded heat dissipation feature (eHDF) is placed in the opening in the substrate and is attached to the substrate using a high thermal conductivity adhesive. One or more bonded chips are attached to the substrate using a flip-chip method. The eHDF is thermally attached to one or more hot spots of the bonded chips. In some embodiments, the eHDF may comprise multiple physically disconnected portions. In other embodiments, the eHDF may have a perforated structure.

Abstract: Disclosed are a visible light communication system and a method for controlling transmission in the same. In the system, a transmission control server receives video data and encodes the received video data into a layer signal of a scalable video coding (SVC) bitstream and controls a signal for each layer to be allocated and transmitted to a plurality of illuminations of a channel corresponding to a priority for each channel decided according to a channel state depending on an interference amount fed back from a reception apparatus according to an importance of the signal for each layer of the SVC bitstream. A reception apparatus receives video signals of SVC bitstreams transmitted from the plurality of illuminations and SVC-decoding the received video signals to generate video data and calculates the interference amount for each channel based on reception power measured for each channel of the received video signal and feeds back the calculated interference amount to the transmission control server.

The UE may suspend the recovery procedure associated with the second SIM in an event that the condition is satisfied. The UE may further resume the recovery procedure associated with the second SIM when the first SIM enters an idle mode.

Also, a process for converting gypsum into precipitated calcium carbonate including providing a mixture comprising i) gypsum ii) a seed, a mineral acid, or both iii) at least one additive selected from the group consisting of ammonium sulfate, an organic acid, or an iron material, and reacting the mixture with at least one carbonate source to produce precipitated calcium carbonate in the form of vaterite. The precipitated calcium carbonates having desired and unique composition, polymorph and crystal size characteristics formed by these processes.

Abstract: Disclosed are a vascular patch using a silk matrix and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein the vascular patch is configured such that a silk matrix having a cross-section with a first thickness, produced from silkworms, is subjected to planar division into two or more silk matrix pieces having a predetermined shape with the first thickness. Furthermore, the manufacturing process is relatively simple, thus reducing the manufacturing cost compared to when manufacturing typical vascular patches, and also, the vascular patch can exhibit outstanding cell culture capacity and is biocompatible.

Abstract: There are provided a device and method for providing a mobile Internet call service. In order to reduce a call waiting time for an mVoIP call, when a call is an initial call after power of a terminal is turned on or using the main call number, information for a call connection is acquired in advance and a light weight session is maintained. When the mVoIP call is made later, the maintained light weight session is used to make a direct P2P call. Therefore, it is possible to reduce a call connection time. As a result, when the mVoIP call attempt is made, a call waiting time is significantly reduced and thus it is possible to provide a rapid response and improve user satisfaction. When the light weight session is maintained, access to a separate server system is not performed. As a result, it is possible to connect a P2P call even when call traffic is heavy.

Abstract: Differing from conventional ambient light sensors at least having drawbacks of huge circuit area and high manufacturing cost, the present invention discloses an ambient light sensor showing advantages of small circuit area and low manufacturing cost. This ambient light sensor has functionality of photodiode leakage current compensation, and comprises: a temperature sensing unit, a microprocessor unit, a conversion unit, and a lookup table unit. The microprocessor unit is configured to find out a reference parameter for a first dark current from the lookup table unit according to a measured data of ambient temperature. Subsequently, the conversion unit is controlled to apply a current amplifying process to a second dark current. Therefore, after subtracting an output current of the first photodiode from the second dark current been treated with the current amplifying process, the output current been treated with a leakage current compensating process is produced and outputted.
