Abstract: Due to the threat of virus attacks and ransom ware, an apparatus and methods for protecting backup storage devices from malicious software virus attacks is explored. An independent backup storage system is connected to a primary storage server over an undiscoverable communications line. The backup storage system is a read-only backup storage system most of the time buffering the backup storage system from a virus or attack on the primary storage server. The backup storage system changes from a read-only backup storage system to a read/write backup storage system only during a backup window of time where data is backed up to the backup storage system. A snapshot of the backup data is maintained in the backup storage system and can be made available at numerous points of time in the past if the data primary storage server becomes corrupted.

For example, systems disclosed herein may include establishing recovery instructions between a host system and a storage system in responding to a future instance of a panic condition. The storage system may provide an indication of a self-detected panic condition in a variety of ways. In response to identifying the panic condition, the host system may perform one or more recovery actions in accordance with recovery instructions accessible to the host system. A speech recognition method for automatically calibrating a data label according to an embodiment may comprise the steps of: performing confidence-based filtering to find the location of occurrence of a wrong label in time-series speech data, in which a correct label and the wrong label are temporally mixed, by using a transformer-based speech recognition model; and after performing filtering, replacing a label at a decoder time step, which has been determined to be a wrong label by the location of occurrence of the wrong label, so as to improve the performance of the transformer-based speech recognition model, wherein the step of performing confidence-based filtering to find the location of occurrence of the wrong label in the time-series speech data comprises finding and calibrating the wrong label using the confidence obtained by using a transition probability between labels at every decoder time step.
