    Abstract: An apparatus for illuminating an area of interest of a user and a method of illuminating an area of interest in the hand of a user is provided. The apparatus is received by the user's wrist and oriented such that the area of interest is illuminated when pressure is applied to the apparatus. The apparatus includes a band with a power source, a light source, and a pressure sensor. The user may maneuver the apparatus and apply pressure to the pressure sensor to enable the illuminating device to illuminate the area of interest and release the pressure sensor to disable the illuminating device.
