    Abstract: Systems and methods of pre-allocating identifiers to wireless devices for use in requesting resources over a random access channel are described. A wireless communication system includes a random access channel over which wireless devices can anonymously send requests for resources. The base stations receiving and processing the anonymous requests reduces the probability of random access channel collisions and conserves the resources needed to support the anonymous requests by pre-allocating one or more identifiers to select wireless devices. The wireless devices having the pre-allocated codes can transmit a particular code over the random access channel as a request for resources that uniquely identifies the requester.

    Abstract: A method for controlling switching of a power device from off-grid operation to grid-connected operation is provided. When a power grid is powered on, a given angular frequency difference required by a voltage-controlled oscillator when a phase of an off-grid output voltage is corrected to a phase of a power grid voltage is directly calculated based on an output phase of the power device in an off-grid mode and a preset angular frequency, and an integral result of a PI controller of a phase-locked loop (PLL) is initially assigned based on the given angular frequency difference. Then the PLL is controlled to start operating, an oscillation angular frequency of the voltage-controlled oscillator is configured based on an output of the PI controller and a preset power grid frequency, and the power device is controlled to connect to the power grid.

If the pressure is less than the predetermined end-of-life pressure, then the method includes providing a pre-warning failure indication.     Abstract: A ratiometric fluorescent sensor constructed based on a G protein-coupled receptor and its construction method are provided. It is discovered that by introducing a mutation at the same amino acid site (the third amino acid of the N-terminal linker) on a GRAB sensor, the GRAB sensor can be endowed with excitation ratiometric properties. The sensor with excitation ratiometric properties have high pH sensitivity, are not limited by the sensor's own expression level or external hardware conditions, maintain high stability of fluorescence brightness, can minimize fluorescence interference caused by motion, can sensitively detect neurotransmitter release, and have the potential for in vivo quantitative detection of neurotransmitter concentration.

Geometric characteristics of burst craters formed during the rockburst are recorded by utilizing advanced geological drilling and profile scanning technologies in a rockburst-damaged zone. 3D geostress in the rockburst-damaged zone is measured by using a stress relief method or a hydraulic fracturing method to determine the orientation of the maximum principal stress. A 3D numerical calculation model is established based on initial geostress testing results and physical and mechanical parameters of rock and structural discontinuities obtained through on-site geological investigations.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a positive electrode for a battery that cycles lithium ions is disclosed, as well as a battery including the positive electrode. In the disclosed method, a single crystal precursor particle is placed in contact with an aqueous solution. The precursor particle includes a lithium-rich manganese-based transition metal oxide (LRMO) having a layered crystal structure, and the aqueous solution includes exchangeable cations. When the precursor particle is placed in contact with the aqueous solution, lithium ions are removed from an exterior surface portion of the precursor particle and the LRMO in the exterior surface portion of the precursor particle is transformed into a lithium-deficient manganese-based oxide (LDMO). Then, the precursor particle is heated such that the LDMO in the exterior surface portion of the precursor particle undergoes a phase transition and is transformed into a lithium manganese-based transition metal oxide having a spinel crystal structure (spinel-LMO).
