  • Publication number: 20240147387
Abstract: A wireless communication device is operated to transmit information on a random access channel of a network node. Operation involves determining a first transmit power level for a transmission of the information, and selecting a first transmission time for the transmission of the information, wherein the selected first transmission time is determined by a number drawn from a first contention window, and wherein the selected first transmission time corresponds to a first amount of time delay that must elapse before transmission of the information occurs. The information is transmitted at the selected first transmission time, at the first transmit power level. When the transmitted information was not successfully received by the network node, a size of a second contention window is determined based on a size of the first contention window and on the first transmit power level.

  • Patent number: 7525409
Abstract: A varistor including a varistor body with two parallel end faces made of a material that contains one or more metal oxides, and at least one electrode made of an electrically conductive electrode material arranged on any of the end faces of the varistor body. The electrode includes a layer of electrode material coated on the end face by means of an ion- or atom-transferring method, whereby the layer has a thickness within the interval of from 5 micrometers to 30 micro-meters.

  • Publication number: 20060237058
Abstract: A combiner box is used to collect direct current from solar panels or other energy sources. The combiner box integrates all means necessary for ground fault detection, current monitoring, voltage monitoring, and power monitoring. The combiner box may include a communication interface suitable for Web enabled monitoring, electronic notifications of system status, and/or remote control of system functions. In one embodiment, the combiner box uses integrated circuits and printed circuit board technology to achieve new efficiencies in manufacturing, installation and system analysis at the string level. A separate hand piece may be used by installers to test the performance of the combiner box, installation of the solar panels, performance of the solar panels and connections between the solar panels and the combiner box.

  • Patent number: 5216955
Abstract: Apparatus for the adjustment of the accommodation volume of a workpiece carrier supported on a line. A bottom plate is disposed in the side walls of the workpiece carrier and is loosely displaceable at different heights within the workpiece carrier to provide a different volume for the carrier, there being provided a positioner for picking-up and moving a plate to different level within a workpiece carrier.

  • Patent number: 5139131
Abstract: A conveyor installation has a track (3) driven to run endlessly about two deflector wheels (100, 101) and supported by guide rails (1, 1', 2), for the conveyance of workpiece carriers which are designed for instance as boxes to accommodate packagings for liquids. The track (3) has two straight portions (3a, 3b). So that it is possible without any cumbersome dismantling work to clean such an installation thoroughly while at the same time providing accurate guidance for the workpieces being conveyed, positioning them precisely at the processing stations, it is according to the invention proposed that the track (3) comprise, closed in itself, a row of links (4) which have their end faces (16) bearing one on another and in which there are recesses for engagement with the guide rails (1, 1', 2) which support the links (4) in the straight portions (3a, 3b) from opposite sides and in the curved portions (3c, 3d) from outside and in that one workpiece carrier is inseparably mounted on each link (4).
