Abstract: An agricultural sensing system includes multiple sensor and/or actuator modules configured to communicate with a relay unit. The sensor and/or actuator modules are powered using solar energy and contain no batteries. The modules feature sleep modes in which some circuits are placed in a low energy mode to conserve energy and remove the need for batteries. Communications to or from the relay unit are optionally timed to avoid interference between transmissions from different sensor and/or actuator modules. The relay units are configured to relay sensor data and send commands to the sensor and/or actuator modules.

Abstract: A dynamic product tracking system uses RFID (radio frequency identification) to provide real time updates regarding item-level product movements, enriches the received RFID scan data with master and associative data, and stores the resulting enriched data in a product tracking server database. The product tracking server also stores static reference data, pre-defined rules or queries, generates pre-defined messages for delivery to other business management (e.g., ERP, accounting, and EDI) systems, and responds to ad hoc, online user inquiries and tracking requests. In a preferred embodiment, a model or state machine representation of the system is used.

Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for providing for customer input during sales representative allocation by a vendor. According to the embodiments, a customer can participate in the allocation through a representative search function, a representative match function, and a contact find function, for instance. The system is generally employed on a server that handles database and processing operations. The system may also provide for searching and navigating via an internet connection through available sales representatives based on one or more traits of the sales representative.
