  • Publication number: 20080064058
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for detection of Trichinella larvae in meat samples. The method comprises digestion of an amount of meat to be tested for Trichinella larvae, where the digestion process results in a digested fluid, filtering the digested fluid by use of a first filter being designed to retain Trichinella larvae, and analysing by use of optical inspection the area of the first filter being used for the filtration of the digested fluid, where the analysis is directed against identification of Trichinella larvae. It is preferred that the optical inspection comprises recording one or more images of the filtration area of the first filter being used for the filtration process. It is also preferred that a plurality of images are recorded, where the plurality of recorded images represents a plurality of parts of the filtration area of the first filter, and the recorded images may represent the whole area being used for the filtration process.

  • Patent number: 6182351
Abstract: The inventive method for producing a superconductor is accomplished by longitudinally pulling a metal pipe having a cavity filled with a metal oxide mixture in polycrystalline powder to reduce the outer diameter of the pipe, sintering the metal oxide mixture to form a workpiece, and progressively flattening the workpiece in a succession of pressings. The flattening step is conducted with a pair of coordinately operated clamping jaws, each of which having a work surface which is curvilinear with distinct opposite ends. The clamping jaws are mounted to hinged brackets connected by eccentric arms to rotatable shafts arranged for providing power transmission to the clamping jaws such that, during each of the pressings, each eccentric arm extends at an angle to a respective hinged bracket which is approximately 0° or approximately 180° when power transmission to the workpiece is maximal.

  • Patent number: 5551910
Abstract: An arrangement for fluid jet cutting, especially for food products, comprises a nozzle which is movable on a frame. The arrangement includes an angled pipe, one end of which is fixedly connected to and in fluid communication with one end of a hollow shaft of a reversible rotary motor. The other end of the hollow shaft is connected by means of a rotary coupling to a conduit for cutting fluid. The other end of the pipe is connected to the nozzle. A plant for fluid jet cutting, especially for food products comprises a belt conveyor for carrying the products, a device for analyzing quality and/or quantity characteristics of the products to be cut, and a device for controlling the operation of the fluid jet arrangement for cutting the products on the conveyor in response to commands from the analyzing device.
