  • Patent number: 7135439
Abstract: The present invention relates to a free-flowing potassium formate product, containing 0.1–1 weight % water, and comprises 0.5–5 weight % of a water soluble anticaking agent selected among carbonates, chlorides and hydroxides of alkali metals, and having water affinity corresponding to less than equilibrium water relative humidity (Rh) of 16% at 22° C. The potassium formate is preferably crystalline potassium formate containing 1–2.5 weight % potassium carbonate and/or potassium hydroxide. The product may contain 1–2.5 weight % sucrose and/or manose as anticaking agents.

  • Patent number: 6753031
Abstract: The present invention relates to aqueous preservatives, containing ammonium tetraformate or any other combination of formic acid and ammonia, for grass and other agricultural crops, fish and fish products and meat products, having reduced corrosiveness and irritation to skin, comprising 0.5-5 weight % glycerol. Preferably the content of glycerol in the preservative is 0.75-1.5 weight %. The preservative may further contain at least one metal corrosion inhibitor and/or antioxidant.

  • Patent number: 4973457
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of reduction of nitrogen oxides in gas mixtures, especially the removal/decomposition of nitrogen oxide in hot combustion gases. The hot gas mixture which contains N.sub.2 O is given a retention time of 0.1-3 seconds before being cooled down. About 90% of N.sub.2 O is thereby decomposed to N.sub.2 and O.sub.2. A hot gas mixture formed by catalytic combustion of ammonia is given a retention time of 0.5-2 seconds before it is cooled in a heat recovery unit. The combustion gases can also be brought in contact with a metal or metal oxide catalyst for selective decomposition of the N.sub.2 O.
