Patent number: 9922062Abstract: A high-performance gridded database protocol for storing, arranging, and extracting gridded data includes associating values for a single grid cell and storing them together to extract as many useful values as possible from a single read operation. Gridded data is stored in a geographically-indexed cylindrical grid that permits efficient data extraction for a particular location while maximizing efficiency of read operations. Cylinders of values are built by grouping grids that are related to each other so that when data for a location is to be extracted, a minimal number of read operations is needed to retrieve an entire stack of data relevant to the location.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2014Date of Patent: March 20, 2018Assignee: CLEARAG, INC.Inventors: Douglas K. Rand, John J. Mewes, Leif Pedersen, Kristopher A. Zarns, Dustin Salentiny

Patent number: 9824423Abstract: A data visualization technique rapidly loads images to decrease data transfer time and associated bandwidth cost for animation effects in displays of data, and includes initially loading raster imagery at a coarser zoom level than a current view on the display, and then manipulating the imagery using general-purpose image manipulation algorithms to interpolate data points as a user adjusts the zoom level. In this manner, the data visualization technique intentionally displays a coarser view than that selected, rather than transferring entirely new imagery or datasets, and manipulates the imagery as necessary to avoid loading more data from a remote server to the local client each time the user adjusts the view.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2017Date of Patent: November 21, 2017Assignee: ITERIS, INC.Inventors: Eric Dean Kjeldergaard, Leif Pedersen, Robert H. Bergman

Patent number: 9382923Abstract: A hydraulic circuit for lifting and lowering a load is disclosed. The hydraulic circuit may include a hydraulic pump, a fluid reservoir, a load-sense valve, and a hydraulic actuator having a first chamber and a second chamber. The hydraulic circuit may also include a first control valve assembly having first and second lowering positions, the valve being disposed between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic actuator. A second control valve assembly may also be provided that is disposed between the first control valve assembly and the first chamber of the hydraulic actuator. Patent number: 7120418Abstract: A method and a system for charging for message communication, e.g. short messages, in intelligent network applications and especially for charging for message communication by a prepaid subscriber. For charging an intelligent network subscriber for message communication, the message communication bills of the intelligent network subscribers are retrieved from the data collected for message communication charging and the bills are used to update the charging data of the intelligent network. This action is preferably performed periodically.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2001Date of Patent: October 10, 2006Assignee: Nokia Networks OyInventors: Juha Herajarvi, Tarmo Lehto, Torben Broedsgaard, Leif Pedersen

Patent number: 6152172Abstract: A hydraulic control valve has a spool slidably received in a bore of the valve body. The spool can be moved in opposite directions to control flow fluid to and from a pair of workports. A sensor assembly has a coupling attached to the spool and holds a permanent magnet. A Hall effect sensor produces an electrical signal indicating the position of the permanent magnet and thus the spool. A double acting spring assembly biases the coupling and spool with respect to the housing of the sensor when the spool moves in one direction, and biases the coupling and spool with respect to the valve body when the spool moves in the other direction.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 1999Date of Patent: November 28, 2000Assignee: Husco International, Inc.Inventors: Rollin Christianson, Raud Wilke, Leif Pedersen

Patent number: 5791142Abstract: An improved pressure-compensated hydraulic system for feeding hydraulic fluid to one or more hydraulic actuators. A remotely located, variable displacement pump provides an output pressure equal to a control input pressure plus a constant margin. A pressure compensation system requires that a load-dependent pressure be provided to the pump input through a load sense circuit. An isolator transmits the load-dependent pressure to the pump control input, while preventing fluid from leaving the load sense circuit and flowing to the remotely located pump. A valve section, which controls the fluid flow between the pump and actuator, has a pressure compensating valve with a piston and spool controlling a pressure differential across a main control valve orifice by moving within a bore in response to a pressure differential between a pump supply pressure and the load sense pressure.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1997Date of Patent: August 11, 1998Assignee: Husco International, Inc.Inventors: Michael C. Patent number: 5664417Abstract: A control valve (10) is provided for mobile or stationary hydraulic equipment for automatically increasing or decreasing speed of a prime mover in response to operation of a hand lever to extend a hydraulic cylinder. A prime mover speed control valve (42) is integrated with a spool (12) in a single housing (10) for the purpose of simultaneously controlling the supply of fluid to a hydraulic cylinder (16) and to a cylinder (61) controlling prime mover speed. When the spool (12) is in the "CYLINDER EXTEND" or "NEUTRAL" position for the implement cylinder, a hydraulic control signal is provided from port (55) to the prime mover control cylinder (61) to signal increased prime mover speed and increased output from a hydraulic pump (17). When the spool (12) is in the "CYLINDER RETRACT" position for the implement cylinder (16), the spool (12) blocks the signal from port (55) while allowing fluid to drain from the implement cylinder (16) to a reservoir (29).Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1996Date of Patent: September 9, 1997Assignee: HUSCO International, Inc.Inventors: Raud A. Patent number: 5579642Abstract: An improved pressure-compensated hydraulic system for feeding hydraulic fluid to one or more hydraulic actuators. A remotely located, variable displacement pump provides an output pressure equal to input pressure plus a constant margin. A pressure compensation systems requires that a load-dependent pressure be provided to the pump input through a load sense circuit. A reciprocally spooled, multiported isolator transmits the load-dependent pressure to the pump input but prevents fluid in the load sense circuit from leaving the load sense circuit and flowing through a relatively long conduit leading to the remotely located pump. In a multi-valve array, at least one valve section has a backflow-preventing shuttle valve which prevents backflow through the pressure compensation system if a main relief valve is operative.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 1995Date of Patent: December 3, 1996Assignee: Husco International, Inc.Inventors: Raud A.
