  • Patent number: 11971238
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for detecting and displaying a number of rounds in a firearm magazine comprising a maximum number of N rounds. The magazine may comprise a follower, magnets on the follower, and <N magnetic switches arranged along a path of the magnets when the follower moves along a length of the magazine, the switches configured to activate based on a magnetic field exceeding a threshold, and a first antenna arranged on an inside of the magazine and parallel to a firing direction of the firearm, and configured to wirelessly transmit a round count indication to a second antenna on the firearm, the round count indication based on the round count data, the second antenna affixed to an inside of a magazine well of the firearm and mostly overlapping with the first antenna.

  • Patent number: 11961018
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include identifying and notifying requestors that may be candidates for a particular autonomous vehicle in order to find those candidates that may be willing or able to relax their travel constraints to match the autonomous vehicle. A request flow may involve surfacing the potential option of matching to an autonomous vehicle before setting a specific destination. For example, the request flow may involve determining that an autonomous vehicle is sufficiently near an in-session potential requestor. Before the potential requestor enters a specific destination, the request flow may present the possibility of the potential requestor being matched with the autonomous vehicle. In some examples, the request flow may then provide available drop-off locations that are compatible with the autonomous vehicle for selection by the potential requestor. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11549405
Abstract: A type III rocker arm assembly operable in a first mode and a second mode based on rotation of a cam shaft includes a rocker shaft and a first rocker arm assembly. The first rocker arm assembly receives the rocker shaft and is configured to rotate around the rocker shaft in the first mode based on engagement with the first cam lobe. The first rocker arm assembly collectively comprises a valve side rocker arm, a cam side rocker arm and a latch pin. The valve side rocker arm defines a valve side rocker arm bore. The cam side rocker arm defines a cam side rocker arm bore. The latch pin assembly is received by the valve and cam side rocker arm bores and selectively couples the valve side rocker arm and the cam side rocker arm for concurrent movement in the first mode.

  • Patent number: 11486272
Abstract: A switching roller finger follower comprises an inner arm assembly. A pair of outer arms surround the inner arm assembly. A pivot axle connects the inner arm assembly to pivot with respect to the pair of outer arms from a starting position to a lost motion position. A latch assembly comprises a latch selectively movable from a latched position latching the inner arm assembly to move dependent with the outer arms and an unlatched position unlatching the inner arm assembly to pivot independent of the outer arms. A stop pin spans between the pair of outer arms and through an inner port in an axle of inner arm assembly. The stop pin comprises a clearance fit with the inner port, and the stop pin is configured pivotable independent of the outer arms. At least one return spring biases the stop pin toward the starting position.

  • Patent number: 10494960
Abstract: An engine roller lifter for use in a valve train of an internal combustion engine according to one example of the present disclosure includes a body and a groove formed in the body. The body has an outer peripheral surface configured for sliding movement in a bore provided in the engine. The bore is supplied by an oil passage communicating therewith. The body defines an axial pocket that receives a plunger therein. The groove is inset from the outer peripheral surface and formed about only a portion of a circumference of the body. The groove defines a first end and a second end. Only a portion of the first and second ends overlap with the oil passage to regulate the amount of oil supplied to the groove from the oil passage.

  • Publication number: 20180156078
Abstract: An engine roller lifter for use in a valve train of an internal combustion engine and constructed in accordance to another example of the present disclosure includes a body having an outer peripheral surface configured for sliding movement in a bore provided in the engine. The bore is supplied by an oil passage communicating therewith. The body can define a transverse passage. A groove can be formed around the body and inset from the outer peripheral surface. A connecting channel can be formed in the body and inset from the outer peripheral surface, the connecting channel fluidly connects the groove and the transverse passage. A roller bearing can be rotatably mounted to the body and configured for rolling contact with an engine camshaft. Oil received at the groove from the bore flows along the connecting channel, into the transverse passage and onto the roller bearing.
