  • Patent number: 7314389
Abstract: The present invention discloses an electronic card connector that includes a protruding member installed at a lateral side inside an insulating body, such that a sliding portion can latch an electronic card. With the protruding member installed at a lateral side inside an insulating body of the electronic card connector, the latch arm of the sliding portion will not be bent and the electronic card can be latched when an electronic card pushes the sliding portion into the electronic card connector. The invention can achieve the purposes of a high durability, a simple structure and a low manufacturing cost for the electronic card connector, since it is not necessary to bend the latch arm of the sliding portion to latch the electronic card when pushing the electronic card into the electronic card connector.

  • Publication number: 20020038476
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a base plate with an accommodating groove, an integrated circuit board, and a card-ejecting device. The accommodating groove has an open front end and a closed rear end, and is adapted to receive a smart card therein. The smart card has a front end extending from the front end of the groove, and a rear end that is spaced apart from the rear end of the groove at a small distance. When the front end of the smart card is pressed inwardly to move the rear end of the smart card to the rear end of the groove, and is subsequently released, the card-ejecting device pushes the smart card outwardly relative to the connector. Accordingly, the smart card can be ejected with ease.

  • Patent number: 5630730
Abstract: A right angle electrical connector is provided for surface mounting to a printed circuit board. The connector includes a dielectric housing having a mounting face. A conductive boardlock is secured to the housing and includes a first substantially planar portion having a leg projecting beyond the mounting face for locking reception in a boardlock-receiving aperture in the printed circuit board. A second substantially planar portion of the boardlock has a foot for connection to a ground trace on the printed circuit board. The first and second portions are substantially perpendicular to each other and to the foot for resisting movement of the connector relative to the printed circuit board in different perpendicular directions.

  • Patent number: 5443395
Abstract: An ejector system is disclosed for use with an IC card connector apparatus. The ejector system includes a header connector into which an IC card is loaded and from which it is ejected. An ejector mechanism is operatively associated with the header connector and is effective to eject the IC card therefrom. The mechanism includes a push-rod reciprocally mounted on an appropriate support structure with a distal end thereof operatively associated with an ejector lever and a proximal end thereof opposite the distal end. A push-button is pivotally mounted on the proximal end of the push-rod for pivotal movement between an operative position projecting generally coaxially of the push-rod and an inoperative position rotated from the operative position to one side of the push-rod. Complementary interengaging detents are provided between the push-button and the push-rod to resist pivotal movement of the push-button from its operative position to its inoperative position.
